Episode 124 — Bro-ing Out Pt Deux

Recommended Posts

I don't know about you guys, but I've still got some bro in my system and I gotta get it out! Enter Todd Barry, Nick Thune, and Matthew Sweet who join Scott for an hour of songs, games, stories, Hot Topics, and bro time. I mean, what else do you need to know? Oh, that Matthew Sweet's new album Modern Art comes out tomorrow. A perfect soundtrack for bro-ing out!

Yum! Sweet (Matthew) n' Sour (Todd). Use your Thunespoon (Nick) to shove it down your Aukermouth (Scott). Double yum!

I'm as confused as Matthew regarding the people in bathtubs in Cialis commercials. [attachment=7909,176]

I don't know about your guys, but when I think of Bro-ing out, I immediately think of Todd Barry. Great episode!!
Matthew Sweet was fantastic.

I went to school with Matthew Sweet's niece, and I had a crush on her for years. If you're reading this, Chloe, it's over. You missed your chance.

Yeah What Am I Thinking came out 8 to 8. Which means all the people out there listening, not feeling well, and everyone that cant be here today, in this room, win and pick you up your spirits!

I believe, in all whiskey humility, that Matthew Sweet was unconsciously cheating at "What Am I Thinking." I have only the auditory evidence of him seemingly precipitating his responses with a super-synaptic causality. He's just really good and sneaky. I also crapped out of my vagina.

Great episode. But I am not liking the new studio as much, the absence of plane breaks as really makes me sad.

@Arthur... I'm sure they'll find a way to bring back that sweet, sweet segment. In the meantime, I'd recommend going back and relistening to Andy Samberg's last CBB appearance. I gave in another listen recently and had forgotten how many plane breaks they took in that episode. It was wonderful.

Scott, if you are going to have funny people on your show, it might be nice to not limit their ability to actually be funny. Getting caught up in your own conceit for Hot Topics sucked the life out of my computer.

This episode felt like it never fell into a groove. It started going one way but it would just come to grinding halt. I still enjoyed it very much.

@Julia Hays I remember that episode very fondly. I just hope they can break that record setting (jetting?) number of plane breaks.

Is anyone else shocked, and a little offended, that Scott cut the "Would you rather?" music off? I listened for 10 minutes before realizing we had moved onto another segment!!! :)
