Interesting Freudian Slip there Paul, union busting is bad so it's has to be Communist because Communists are bad, huh?

Communists would be for, it would be Conservative Capitalists that would be anti-Union or is Scott Walker and all the other union hating governors communists?

Paul, you should watch Ghoulies and Ghoulies 2 sometime. I liked them both, especially the sequel, but I can't recommend the third one where the Ghoulies undergo a growth spurt and enroll in college. I can't get behind talking Ghoulies.

Howling II is really fantastic, so is Queen of the Damned, both would be solid live shows. As for other horror movie suggestions, maybe The Visitor? It got the HD treatment a few years back and is pretty bonkers.

Oh, Jason is going to love Bratz. This movie will be a nice change of pace from the 1980's slum, but it's an odd choice for sure. I say "odd" because I didn't know such a thing existed. Ever.

I went on a Burt Reynolds run a few years ago. White Lightning and Gator are both pretty good. Probably his best movies after Deliverance and Smokey and the Bandit. I know Archer had an episode with extended references to both.

I know this isn't twitter, but Nightbreed would be a great Halloween ep. It's awesome.

There should be a warning in front of that Bratz trailer. Avril Lavigne songs make me uncomfortable. For a hot second I thought it was going to be Jem.

I'm guessing this is an in studio ep because this wasn't one they did at Largo the other night?

Yeah, but I guess I was limiting it to movies where Burt Reynolds is the star.

Even including Boogie Nights, I'd probably put Gator in his top 5 overall.

Fair enough. Even though he's not the star, he was one of my favorite parts in Boogie Nights. I don't say this flippantly: he should have gotten a nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Although, I may not be the most credible here. I even thought he was good in Cop and a Half.

Actually, the Soviet Union often had a difficult relationship with unions, which is why Lech Walesa's Solidarnosc protests among the dock unions in Poland was such a thorny issue for the USSR. You would imagine that unions and communists would be a great fit. But in a communist society, unions should be unnecessary because labor is never alienated.

For Horror Movies I want to see Foodfight! Or one of those shitty 90s horror remakes. House on Haunted Hill or 13 Ghosts.

For sure Reynolds is great in Boogie Nights. I don't think he gets enough credit as an actor. He's no Daniel Day Lewis or Gary Oldman but they couldn't be half the Bandit Reynolds was.

It's been a few years since I've seen Cop And A Half but I'll say it's good for what it's being.

Unions are Marxist-Socialist constructs which seek to empower laborers. Communism is Socialism with a gun.

Stalin et al hated unions because they empower laborers, i.e. the people, and despots can't handle anyone having power but them. Unions are antithetical to communist societies because citizens tend to have their roles prescribed in a communist society. Socialism is more of an economic theory/practice than a system of government.

Anyone else surprised to see that Bratz isn't an animated movie? Even listening to the trailer, I would've bet money that it was CGI. And I mean, why the hell isn't it? Did they just have a teenie-bopper script sitting around and slapped the Bratz trademark on it?

There are several animated Bratz movies according to my local library. I assume you're right about an already existing script getting rewritten for a currently hot property though.

Bratz apparently features another fine performance for Oscar winner Jon Voight.

Color me excited.

Apparently one of the actresses is his god-daughter.
