Hey look, I drew a ball on a bigger ball chasing a ball. While looking up references for this, I did find pictures on google of Pavarotti playing tennis. But he was wearing the same outfit in all of them, so I can only confirm he's played at least one game of tennis outside of this movie.

Why are people giving Paul crap about not emphasizing that these are “American” films? It’s the AMERICAN Film Institute! It’s literally the name of the organization. It would be like saying, “We are here at the Cheesecake Appreciation Society where we’re going to be discussing the best cakes ever made. And when I say ‘cake,’ I just want to clarify that I specifically mean ‘cheesecake’ and not carrot.” Please, let’s not give our hosts a hard time over this

Dale Dye did an even longer interview with Matt Gourley on I Was There Too and it's a great interview and he goes deeper into Platoon (and other movies he did). Definitely worth a listen.

Last night I posted on Letterboxd my quick reaction/review to the movie, and my main thought was wondering just how 'evil' Eve is. Viewing from a more modern lens, I didn't think she was all that bad really, and frankly I kind of rooted for her. The Camerons thought she was a clear villain, but I wasn't so sure... so I was quite curious and happy to hear that our discussion mirrored Paul & Amy's (Paul, I have your back on this!). Eve is certainly manipulative and ambitious, but I dunno. Is that not the acting world? Curious how other people view the character of Eve. But yea, this was a really enjoyable film -- the writing is immediately striking, and the acting across the board was killer.

I was discussing this movie somewhere else recently. I cant fucking believe they had Schreiber and Jackman being related to each other and not realizing the issues with that. My big issue is the ending which supposes that a woman from the 20th century would AT ALL want to go back in time and live in the late 1800's because who needs things like modern medicine or the right to vote.

re: famous new englanders: I guess I'm just going to have to wait another 250 episodes for a canon reference to the nice mom that wants everyone to play with their cock 'n balls

I didn't book my ticket to see the boys fast enough. But everything else is pretty good- This episode was great for example. I hope they're on this week's Doughboys, although I don't even know where they'd go eat. But listening to Mitch and the boys geek out about famous new englanders made me think- they should do the new England tour with them!

Great first post! Also, what boys are you going to see, please be more specific. There's like, hundreds of possible boys you could be seeing in Boston, smdh!

I thought of a funny bit where I'd take the clip of Tom Cruise in Vanilla Sky where he shouts "tech suppooooooooort" into the sky and replace the audio with the boys shouting "KEVIN!", but upon reviewing Vanilla Sky I've now rejected that idea. His face looks awful (Cruise's face, not Kevin's.) Also my reference is outdated. Back to the drawing board. Hello, this is my first post. Going to see the boys in Boston Aug 31. Super excited.

Hello friends, I was at the beach for a little bit and got burnt to a crisp because I forgot about that whole re-applying sunscreen after 2 hours business. I swear I'm an adult that knows how to take care of myself... Anyway this story (not necessarily this specific movie but more Oliver Twist by Dickens) is how I got the name for my lil Oliver so expect pictures later.

I mean, I thought I bought tickets to Middle East Presents Hollywood Handbook Aug 31 7pm @ Sonia in Bah-ston, but now I can't find anything about it on TicketWeb?? It vanished. I don't even see the charges on my account. I hope they didn't yank it. Edit: They yanked it. Just got the email.

More on the parking lot universe please. Is Mitch good or even just okay at talking and jokes in the parking lot? Scared to imagine parking lot Bosch cuz he's just so good and perfect as he in our universe.

Some numbers: Patreon started in Feb 2017 Facebook likes close to 4,000 18 months times at $200 per Facebook like equals $14,400,000 So its safe to assume that Mitch is paying himself $600,000 every month. I've run these several times and it all works out so no need for anyone else to fact check.

First time long time and all that. Isn't that same doctor (who says he is Giorgio's biggest fan) a cameo by the screenwriter, Norman Steinberg? Maybe he really is/was a Pavarotti groupie and signed on to the project as a fan piece.
