3. I think the Crow sequels are worthy on their own, but this one moved in such an oddball direction, plus, you can't go wrong with Iggy Pop as a villain. Starring Vincent Perez and Mia Kirshner, The Crow II: City of Angels tells the story of a victim, murdered by a brutal attach by an evil drug cartel, who is brought back to life by a mysterious crow. With the help of a beautiful woman named Sarah, he exacts revenge on his killers one by one, only to realize his enemy has discovered the one weakness that can destroy him forever. Highlander II: The Quickening (1991)

I still think they should do this next to keep the Connery renaissance going.. this scene from Highlander 2 makes the case..

    Spawn (1997)

I think the key with Deadpool is that Rob didn't write it, and talented comedic screenwriters with an understanding of a budget did..also, concerning Deadpool.. David Goyer writer of Blade tried to make the film around the time of Blade: Trinity, when the project wasn't even at Fox..

    Spawn (1997)

era of THE CROW and BLADE.. they could have made it R..parents mean nothing, R rated films were cash-cows in the 90s..

    Spawn (1997)

I guess you never saw the hard-R animated series on HBO from 1997-1999, which everyone liked and came out before this live-action film.. the material was always darker and didn't get approvals from the comic book code, because it was at Image who didn't give a shit.. I forgot all the nudity, the pedophile serial killer and brutal/bloody violence that the PG-13 movie included (not), this material was way too dark for PG-13 and they overlooked a bulk of the material to sell toys, merch and the video games.. it came down to the Batman films making more money from merch than box office, remember R-rated movies still were on a even playing-field with PG and PG-13 movies back in the 80s and 90s, since they weren't spending hundreds of millions on the budgets.. money was the factor, the material did not lend itself to a PG-13 rating..

    Lost in Space (1998)

cheesy 90's science fiction.. it's worth exploring..

    Planet of the Apes (2001)

compared to the original APES and new ones films this is bad, just because it has great costume/set design doesn't make it a good film.. it feels more like the short-lived PLANET OF THE APES TV series acting-wise than an actual film.. lazy Tim Burton is on full-effect here.. plot structure is paper-thin

    Screamers (1995)

actually, Blade Runner both bombed and got awful reviews during it's initial release in1982. Remember, this was the terrible theatrical cut with Ford's cringe-worthy voice over and sketchy editing, the Final Cut is the superior version of course.

    Screamers (1995)

They did actually use CGI mixed with puppets, well it's interesting considering there a handful of films based on Philip K. Dick's work that bombed horribly. Oddly enough, the original short story didn't involve these off-world colonies, it was set on Earth with Soviets and Americans nuking each other, then one side building the robots. I think the story itself and the acting is generic enough for them to tackle it, and worth them exploring it, plus they spoil the entire film and the twist in this trailer.

    McHale's Navy (1997)

You have a film based on a legendary comedy series, what could go wrong casting Tom Arnold as your lead? Retired Lieutenant Commander Quinton McHale spends his days puttering around the Caribbean in the old PT-73 selling homebrew, ice cream, and swimsuit calendars. He's brought out of retirement when his old nemesis turned the second best terrorist in the world, Major Vladikov, takes over the island of San Moreno and starts building a nuclear launch silo on it. With help from his old crew and hindrances from Captain Wallace B. Binghampton, who sank a cruise liner a while back, McHale tries to put Vladikov out of business.

    Spawn (1997)

the R-rated animated HBO series was so well done, I'm curious what made them think it was a good idea to go with PG-13.. this also pretty much ruined Michael Jai White's career..

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)

one of the dumbest superhero films ever made, makes Daredevil look high-end... also some of the laziest special effects you'll ever see in a massive film like this
