  1. I haven't agreed with everything that's happened on the show, but I download and listen as soon as I can because I still really enjoy it. It's rough around the edges, but that's part of the charm. I don't see it so much as "one winner, and a bunch of a losers", because even the eliminated podcasts have gotten priceless exposure. I've added several to my subscriptions, which is valuable to me as well.

  3. This post is mostly in reply to yesterday's episode, where Matt discussed getting guff for using the word "wheelhouse". I made a comment a few weeks ago that "Hearing Matt use the word 'wheelhouse' is my wheelhouse'," I tried to make it not sound negative, because it really is a neat word. After hearing it several times it stuck out in my mind. I hope Matt didn't take it as negative, it was meant as light-hearted teasing. That said, I loved the this week's theme, Doug is insightful, Harris is funny, Nick Thune is charming, and Matt is a good host.
  4. My wheelhouse is hearing Matt Besser say "wheelhouse".

    Episode 15 — Obesity

I love the new commercial every week.

    Episode 1 — Analyze Phish

So is Earwolf Presents its own podcast that doesn't have a set schedule and has guest hosts doing whatever they want, or is it an umbrella term for multiple Earwolf podcasts, of which Analyze Phish is one?
  7. I think Bucho brings up a very important point - it seems like Matt is handed the week's theme right as the first episode of the week starts. It's fine to listen to him wax philosophical about what makes for a good recurring bit, but he should have a clear idea of what it is before the show starts.
