  1. Everyone should listen to the episode of the Best Show on WFMU where Andy Zax ( the music geek from Beat the Geeks) tells maybe the worst hollywood nightmare story ever, so great, as was this episode of TFF.
  2. It was great to hear where Andy gets the background and inspiration for his characters, the rockettes discussion especially, because that shit is creepy
  3. Loved Gourley's reference to Timothy Dalton, "We were doing it!!!"
  4. I had no idea Shaye Saint John died, I loved his videos, especially Hand Thing
  5. Maybe Paul was in possession of "the object" and therefor really was channeling Satan
  6. Jake saying Paul Scheer had a normal childhood and normal parents, clearly someone hasn't listened to his episode of WTF, cause that shit was bonkers.
  7. I made the same mistake
  8. Newbridge is the fictional town in New Jersey that Jon Wurster's characters (for the most part) are from.
  9. I started by listening to episodes with guests that I like. The Patton, Paul F. Tompkins, Aimee Mann, Ted Leo, John Hodman episodes are always amazing. I'd say start with one featuring someone you like and go from there
  10. Just started listening to this episode, thank you for this Jake

    Episode 150 — Warrior Pose

    Fair enough.

    Episode 150 — Warrior Pose

I love Paul Scheer, but that hat of his is goddamn disgusting.
  13. I absolutely love American Splendor, Judah is so good as Toby Radloff, and James Urbaniak is amazing as R. Crumb. Jake, seeing as you are on the East-Coast, can we be expecting an episode with Tom Scharpling, and if so could you bring up this
  14. Isn't he that porno actor
  15. How dare you tell him to skip over the Spike call, that was Spike at his finest/creepiest, before he became boring. Show Spike some respect.
  16. The newer episodes have a pop-up player, but for the older episodes, like this one i just down-load it and play it with realplayer, I know that might seem like a hassle, but that episode is fantastic, I'll second a recommendation for it.
  17. When I saw who the guest was, I was really concerned that I would be reading on Dead Line Hollywood, "Podcast host Jake Fogelnest was attacked with a Laser-whip at the Earwolf Studios. Told Ya!"
  18. RFTC has done a couple shows here in San Diego
  19. Oh and Bobcat Goldthwait has a fascinating story about performing at the gathering of the juggalos which can be heard in episode 51 of Harmontown, which is Dan Harmon's (creator of community) podcast
  20. This was a great episode, and I can't wait to read Nathan's book (when it was mentioned on the Best Show and what its subject matter was I knew I had to get it). My main problem with juggalos and the ICP is how homophobic and sexist what they are all about is. I tend to be you like what you like and I won't disabuse you of that, and they are all about "family" or whatever, but their family is so hateful that I can't get on board, regardless of my opinion of their music or the music of psycopathic records. #Helicopter Rides.
  21. I wasn't able to watch the live feed, but just listened to the podcast, and is there anyone more goddamn delightful than Todd Glass. Such a fun episode. Though I was kind of bummed you didn't sign off this episode "Now is the time for Helter Skelter," Jake.
  22. Oh and the guy with the dog is James Caan
  23. That cloud video and his narration of "cloud, become a square shaped cloud" over and over again in that voice is probably my new favorite thing. Thank you for that Jake, so amazing.

    Episode 64 — After Earth

So then are the aliens dropping the "ursas" onto humanity to destroy them an allusion to Xenu dropping the alien ghost souls onto humans to completely fuck them up?
  25. I realized my mistake in saying it was Newberger when it was actually Kramer after I posted that, oops. Regardless great talk.
