  1. I missed out on all the BFF stuff because I live in a land down under. What happened? Was it bad promotion? Or did most Americans just fail to appreciate another great TV show?

All of the above, coupled with the fact that the show was on NBC, which:

    Β

    ● Has been in last place among the major networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) for roughly 10 years

    ● Has a long track record of not giving good shows the opportunity to grow their audience (SEE ALSO: The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien fiasco)

    ● Are almost entirely reliant on Nielsen ratings for determining the success of a show. Since much of BFF's target audience enjoy modern conveniences like time-shifting (i.e. DVRs) and online viewing (i.e. Hulu), and these services aren't factored into Nielsen, the audience appears disproportionately small.

    Β

Given all of these factors, if your show isn't a staggering success from the day it premieres, its cancellation is all but guaranteed.

  2. I have to say...not into the County. Loved Jay and Rand for well over 12 years (from Monday @ Largo). It's Sklar County, not Dan. This is the 4th episode where I have tried to keep my mouth shut. Why is this guy talking so much? He is not even a given or Givens for that matter. Let him do research. we heard the drunk girl situation 3 too many times.

Guys...this is your brand and he is crushing to boredom.

Randy and Jason value Dan Van Kirk's contributions enough that they created a second show with the explicit goal of involving him in the conversation, and did so without changing the format of the original show you purport to love. If you do not enjoy Dan's contributions, it is quite literally the easiest thing in the world for you to not listen to the Tuesday show.

  3. There's a problem with the episode data in the Earwolf app API; the URL to the show MP3 has a space after it. You'll have to wait until Earwolf fixes the issue on their end before the app will work properly.

    Β

In the meantime, you should be able to play the show by loading this URL in your mobile browser:

  4. sounds similar to scientology's charging for audits to get rid of all those negative thetans building up

Can Brody Stevens be explained by Scientology? Is a manic focus on POSITIVE ENERGY the end result of reaching a certain OT level? Does Brody exist the same metaphysical plane as a couch-jumping Tom Cruise?

  5. All due respect, shove that opinion right up your ass. So tired of these people showing up on these forums with their first post being something very negative. You can feel free to be negative after you are positive for a time. Don't just show up and the first thing out of your mouth is 'this sucks' you pompous POS.

The weirdest part of his misplaced rant is that Dan wasn't even on #104, beyond the Weekly Wahlberg bit.

    Β

Consider the possibility that "Lasers" is, in fact, Mark Walhberg...

  6. Paul Rust has been crazy funny lately.

    Β

    1. He was the highlight of last week's Comedy Bang Bang TV show. Paul's acting lesson was great

    2. The New No-Nos were hilarious, easily the best part of this episode

    3. Crazy funny in the latest UCB Master Class episodes.

He also had a cameo in the final episode of Jessica St. Clair and Lennon Parham's tragically-cancelled Best Friends Forever.

  7. After listening to Gore on Who Charted and I4H, I can only assume that Attack of The Show's producers tried recreating the scientific experiment from the Schwarzeneggar/Devito masterpiece Twins. The ideal human traits β€” intelligence, creativity, empathy, drive, a willingness to work towards everyone's collective benefit, etc. β€” were used to create Chris Hardwick, and all of the remaining genetic detritus congealed into Chris Gore.

    Β

This guy could not be more of a loathsome, self-serving shitbag. (Check out his Twitter feed if you remain unconvinced.) If he shows up on Monday's Comedy Bang Bang, I'm going to have some serious questions for the Earwolf braintrust, like "What blackmail fodder is he holding over your heads?"

  8. Given the debates that ensued after episodes with Eric Andre, Tony Clifton, Adam Pally, Andy Kindler, and now Chris Gore, it's shaping up to be the Summah of Contentious Guests at Earwolf!

    Β

Is it the record-breaking temperatures across North America? Is it the sudden influx of thousands of new listeners thanks to CBBTV? Or are these simply the first warning signs that the world is suffering from a catastrophic Paul F. Tompkins drought?

    Β

    Consider these facts:

    Β

    ● Paul has not appeared on an Earwolf podcast since May

    ● A proper episode of the Pod F. Tompkast has not been released since May

    ● TrackPFT updates have fallen conspicuously silent

    ● Paul is not participating in the San Diego Comic-Con live CBB due to his distaste for nerds (and possibly dorks)

    Β

Will this Tompkinslessness be our undoing? Has Earth reached a tipping point from which we cannot recover? Is there no one with the gift of the second sight to advise us in this, our hour of need? #soundoff in the comments below!

  9. I have to say that the last time I have seen this movie must have been more than 5 years ago, and while it was horrible, I think it tried to play on the campy-ness of 90's action movies.

    Β

That being said, I feel like you guys didn't really watch the movie at all.

    Β

Here are some things to notice.

-There is no pasta in Robs mouth in the pasta robot, it is all over his hair, and he has obviously blue, green, and red wires in his mouth along with all in his hands.

    Β

-Yes, the armor was horrible, no one ever understood that.

    Β

-The Judge who took the long walk, did so, so he could grant a last request to keep Dredd alive instead of executed. Because judges don't live that long, If they do make it to that age, they take the long walk, basically to bring law, to the lawless.(chances are they are going to die fighting)

    Β

-The evil judge had nothing to do with the shuttle going down. He just wants to make sure there is no survivors.

    Β

-Obviously the "Cowboy Cannibals" hideout is an old ruined courthouse. Hense the reason why there is a lady justice statue nearby. (They aren't actually in a cave)

    Β

-Yes, the re-entry into Mega City was purposterous.

    Β

-They snuck into the Judge station locker room, then they mugged a judge and took his clothes.

    Β

-The robot is hinted at by the shop keeper as a leftover from the ABC Wars. Trying to reference that there was a big war back in the day.

    Β

-They pin down the secret labs location because of the power outages, just like when they moved the statue of liberty, This is still kind of far fetched.

Most importantly, how does your father feel about this movie?
