    The Flintstones (1994)

Her character's name in that: Sharon Stone! Ten years later, the two of them would go on to be in Catwoman.
  2. Casey Wilson (Bitch Seth) joins Paul, June and Jason to discuss the 1991 comedy Drop Dead Fred. Recorded live at The Bell Theater in Los Angeles, they talk about why this movie made June want to pursue acting, Phoebe Cates's character's relationship with Drop Dead Fred, Casey's hatred of the movie, and more. It's the most divisive episode in HDTGM history!
  3. Now somebody posted a different thread with that title, but posted his thoughts about 2011's Drive instead. But now here is the real topic, 1990's The Bonfire of the Vanities. Where to begin with this movie? Tom Hanks's character was supposed to be an unlikable Wall Street tycoon in the book, but his character was rewritten to suit his personality. Bruce Willis's character was British in the novel, but when he got cast, it was changed to an American. Morgan Freeman's character as the judge was originally Jewish, but changed to African-American in the film. Melanie Griffith and Kim Cattrall were also in there, playing Hanks's mistress and wife respectively. Directed by Brian De Palma, this film was an unfaithful retelling of Tom Wolfe's bestseller and there's a tell-all book about the making of that movie called The Devil's Candy by Julie Salamon. If you want to know the details about what the hell is happening behind the scenes, The Devil's Candy is a definite recommendation. The Bonfire of the Vanities is such a mess with a string of miscast performers and terrible writing, that it is no wonder this became a financial and critical bomb.

    Pacific Heights (1990)

This was the year after Batman, so to see Michael Keaton go from hero to bad guy was what completely selled it.

    Seventh Son (2015)

This film finally came out three years after production had wrapped! And with Seventh Son getting slaughtered by critics and bombing at the box office, I felt this needs attention on the forum based on its production history. Originally going to come out in the spring of 2013, then delayed until the fall of that year, then pushed to January 2014 and finally with February of this year, there are so many reasons why it kept getting sat on the shelf, especially the split between Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. with the former moving over to Universal. This is also the third consecutive sci-fi/fantasy related flop in a row for Jeff Bridges following RIPD and The Giver, and is now out the month the Oscars are held with Julianne Moore touted to win for Still Alice! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXiNkOjM7oM

Musical Mondays Week 70 Eddie and the Cruisers

This movie and Streets of Fire have a few things in common: Both of whom star Michael Pare, did better on VHS and cable, and their soundtracks produced hit singles ("On the Dark Side", "I Can Dream About You") that performed a lot better than these films' overall box office totals.
