    Episode 548 - Know What I’m Saying?

Carmine was very funny, but let the record state there are NO Cheesecake Factories in Brooklyn, and any implications to the contrary must be considered libelous slander. Possibly he was thinking of Junior's?

    Episode 547 - Johnny Pacquiao

I know he's based in New York, but I would love to hear Joe Pera on CBB. He's one of the funniest dudes out there. This episode, despite a distinct lack of Joe Pera, was very good. Everyone was great. #MeToo got moist.
  3. The best part of this episode was Scott trying five times to make that "Make like a tree" joke and then giving up because Scott and April were sincerely discussing REM.

    Out of Time

Wowee this band is awful. I love how Scott compares this record to the White Album, like, "The White Album was weird too!" Yeah, I guess, but the White Album is considered a timeless masterpiece and this is a pile of flaming garbage. Anyway, great ep as always! Hope you feel better, Scott -- sounds like you have the sniffles!

Episode 384 - New Heights in Terrible Enunciation

Whyyy does this not have any comments? Jon Daly is the best and his Big Baby Aspirin song is amazing! Lil' Xan is so lucky to have such a great dad!!

    Green with Lance Bangs

Speaking of long boxes, I've been wondering if the Scotts were going to address this: https://99percentinvisible.org/episode/longbox/
  8. It makes sense that Andy Daly is a U2 fan because if you try to picture "U2 fan" in your head, Andy Daly is what comes up. Enjoyed this episode, even though Scott stole my joke about Bad actually being good.

Episode 380 - Always Willing To Walk

I'm behind and haven't listened to this one yet, but I just finished last week's and it's so great to hear the Howie/Natty Leggs dynamic again. Natasha is a great sidekick because she's super funny herself, obviously, but she also had the best laugh in the business and it makes Howard's crazy shit even better. It also reminds me a lot of The Lavender Hour, may it rest in peace. I'm sure Natasha has plenty on her plate and isn't trying to do a weekly podcast right now, but it's great when she can stop by. She also mentioned last week that Cardi B should be a guest on Who Charted, and I agree -- having musicians talk about the charts (and music in general) with Howard and Brett seems like a no brainer. Not a bad idea! Okay, that's all. Enjoyed the show as always. Thank you, Michael Motorcycle.

Episode 537 - Silly Cone Valley Poo Crew Minus One

How did Engineer Cody get another job? I guess his new employers didn't go back to listen to his previous work?? Anyway, good luck and Baba Booey to him!

    27 Reckoning

Nah, October's good. It's not their best, but it's certainly miles above everything they've done in the last 20 years. I appreciate that they made it 40 minutes before REM was brought up this time. Maybe at a certain point they'll just forget to talk about this stupid band? Just kidding! It's worth the REM talk if for no other reason than to hear Scott try to articulate something only to have Scott get impatient and cut him off. It makes me laugh every time.

    Episode 534 - Solid As A Rock

That was a great '90s alt-rock plugs theme. I am a bit worried about Paul's fingers, though. I think they got caught when Scott closed the floor for questions.

    26 - Murmur

I love these guys, but does anyone else feel like the Scotts sound like they have maybe never heard music before? They were both talking about how brilliant R.E.M. were for using AABABCB, arguably the most common song structure there is? And, "On most albums, by seven songs in the band is out of ideas"? And were they implying that R.E.M.'s b-side cover of "There She Goes Again" popularized The Velvet Underground? I'm pretty sure "Sweet Jane" has been in pretty steady radio rotation since 1970. Anyway, great ep. This is great, uhh, podcast.

    25 - Chronic Town

This is good news! I was hoping for U Talking Heads 2 Me, to be perfectly honest, but I'd listen to the Scotts talk about Puddle of Mudd if they wanted to.

    Episode 529 - Am I The What?

If there was a Dalton Wilcox, Poet Laureate of the West tv show, I would watch that TV show.

    Episode 523 - Chekhov's Phone

Agreed -- I was really hoping he was just going to do the entire thing.

    Episode 365 - Dragon's Horde

That "Rock" chart was truly awful. Agee's right -- there were hardly any audible guitars in any of those songs. And those songs were terrible! There was a lot of great rock music this year -- Palm, Posse, Priests... and that's just the P's! Anyway, those are Young Kyleidoscope's Hot Picks.

    24 - Songs of Experience

I'm in that Venn diagram of loving the Scotts talking nonsense and also genuinely liking U2, but I really only like them in the 80s. My favorite song is "Bad" (it should be called "Good!") and I really like War and Joshua Tree, but new U2 is always pretty difficult to stomach. BUT, it's still really fun to hear Scott and Scott talk some '2 - even modern day '2 - so I say keep 'em coming, Bonobos! 365 new albums, please!
  19. Holy moly, that Mario song was great! I don't know why Eban decided to play the Super Mario Underworld theme, but boy am I glad he did!

This is the best one... every time! P.S. I also really enjoyed that Plug F. Themekins.

Episode 514 - The Calvins Twins Return

Did Bever forget his catchphrase until the literal last second?

    Episode 507 - Popcorn Costume

Unlike Gary, I very much enjoy the comedy of Tawny Newsome. (And Paul F. Tompkins, which I realize is unrelated to this episode and its guests.)

    Episode 350 - Slight Friction

Howie talking about catching the eclipse on Chaturbate was my favorite. My second favorite was his quiz, but I only got five right. Fifty percent! I failed Chanteuses & Geography 101. I think there's a couple Chanteuses missing -- Carly Rae and Charli XCX -- but they're both international so I'm not sure how that would work. Anyway, more H. Michael Quizes please!

Episode 504 - The Bigger the Percent the Better

But... Just to be clear, this movie is based on the U2 song and music video "Lemon" featuring Bono's alter ego MacPhisto? If so, I'll see you on opening night, Brett baby.
