    Episode 328 — Beatle Heaven

It would be more like if you baked those cookies every week and she always said they were the best cookies she's ever had. Then one week you show up with a particularly hard batch of cookies. Message still received though.

For every music episode previous I've done the same, and now I realize I probably should have continued with that line of thinking. But the only reason I didn't really think of it as shitting on the show is because I'm saying the show doesn't need MUSICAL GUESTS in order to be entertaing or worth while. Having Scott, Anders, and Mike would have been more than enough, to institute a hilarious show, and I just don't think the music adds to that as much as it takes away from it.

Fair enough, and just to clarify I'm fully aware of how unimportant my opinions are.

Difference is I was actually giving an opinion, you were mocking me.

You misunderstood, I said that referring to the podcast as a whole, not just this episode. I'm not trying to be a spoiled fan, but I just feel like having musicians on comedy podcast is not why anyone listens to the show, yet it's becoming an increasingly more common thing on CBB. This is already a pretty specific somewhat niche comedy podcast, that I am a huge fan of. But when you bring in a musician , it narrows that niche even more so. Which I guess leaves fans like me less inclined to enjoy the podcast.

I find these musician based episodes of CBB really hard to get into. I listen to this show because I adore Scott and his guests comedy. I'm not sure when ones taste in music became such an important factor in liking this podcast.
  8. I can't even put into words how funny these episodes have been. I haven't really been able to notice the difference in the actual style of the narrative improv. But whatever it was, it's as funny as any episode of i4h I can remember.

    Episode BO2014.1 — Best of 2014 Pt 1

Would love to hear a PFT solo bolo though
  10. How could Weird Al's successor and protege Weirder Scott not be involved in his tribute show?
  11. It seems like most people have nothing but positive feedback for the musical eps, and while I still listen too and enjoy those episodes. I would prefer to see them go. Obviously Matt seems to really enjoy having musicians he's fans of on the show. But I just feel like with those episodes it basically turns I4H into a music podcast where it's predominately made up of discussing music and interviewing the musician. While the comedy and improv is completely secondary. I listen to the show because I enjoy Matt's comedy sensibility, I don't know why I need to like his taste in music as well. I still enjoy the show either way, but just felt the need to play devils advocate.

    Episode 322 — YouTube Phenomahna

This is somewhat off topic, but did anyone listen to Harris Wittels' episode of You Made It Weird? As a fan of Harris, and not knowing any details about him going to rehab and getting sober beyond the mention of it, whenever that Analyze Phish episode came out. I was legitimately shocked hearing what was actually happening in that guys life during that time.

Great episode and some great plugs, but I still hope there's an opportunity for Bob and Scott to reconnect sometime in the future.

How/why is Seth Morris not on as Bob Ducca to promote Affirmation Nation coming back?
  15. Could not agree more. The chemistry between the people on those shows, and really all of the best CBB eps, is what makes them great to listen too. The most disappointing part of the more recent Wompler, Mantzoukas/Daly, Time Bobby, Farts and Pro, episodes in my opinion, were when Scott or the guests felt obligated to follow the format or tone of the previous show. And as a fan I just want these people to be in a room having fun recording a podcast together. I feel like that's why the Benny Schwaz & Horatio eps have been so consistently hysterical. Other than House of Pies, and them singing every episode, there is no long running bits or story they feel the need to follow. So they can just record a podcast in the moment and not feel reigned in by whatever ridiculous backstory/bit/charac/etc.
