    We're Still Trying...

Hey everyone we're back to try to get literally anyone to listen and give feedback. This podcast of ours is one of our normal improv comedy podcast: This podcast is a bit more obscure with one of the reoccuring characters we have, Mr. Fingernails:
  2. JesseGomez

    Troll 2 (1990)

It had a documentary entitled "Best/Worst Movie" directed by the child star of this confusing cult classic. Endless fodder for Paul, June, Jason and guest.
  3. NorthShoreBen45

    Wishmaster (1997)

I'm a big fan of bad movies but I do draw the line with absolute nonsensical plots, no budget and unwatchable actors (and this is in reference to Thankskilling quality movies). I love anything Steve Reimi, Kurtzman or Wes Cravin which gave me the appreciation for this movie that I really hope you guys check out -- its called "The Wishmaster" by Robert Kurtzman. You can find it Free on FEARNET on demand. Seriously, please watch this. In a nutshell - a demon from hell grants peoples wishes, but of course there is an evil (and ridiculous) catch to his generosity which is: yes the wish may be granted but only in a hurtful manner. Non-movie related example: A person would ask the Wishmaster to become famous, loved and a pleasure for everyone to see. The devil would grant the request but the twist is that the person will be turned into a painting and be showed off in a museum or something. Throughout the movie people are getting duped by this guy. Alongside "great" special effects, late 90s attire, desperate (but perfect acting) and overall a great ride, this is one movie that you do not want to miss. Luckily for us fans, there are 3 Wishmaster movies to enjoy. So far I have only seen the 1st but I am eager to catch the rest. Get some friends together and have fun watching this movie. It is a blast from the very first scene. Thank you!
  4. Ninja Terror

    The FP (2011)

Judging by the first 10 minutes of The FP this ridiculous satire would be perfect for the podcast. It revolves around a gang war fought through a knockoff acrcade game in the style of Dance Dance Revolution.
  5. If the name sounds familiar, it's because it's one of the most imfamous movies of the 1990's. I have to say it's pretty much a definitive title for the question "How Does This Get Made?": It's the movie with the singing and dancing cockroaches. Yes, cockroaches, in all their filthy splendor. And while the budget for the movie was quite modest ($13 Million), it still has oddly competant animation of some highly entertaining cockroaches. What's more, the roaches all have squeaky "Alvin and the Chipmunks"-like voices -- they behave cartoonishly as though it were a children's movie. But this is NOT a movie for kids (it's the first movie release billed under "MTV Films" banner), and you would be a horrible parent to let kids watch this twisted movie, even if it is mostly free of explicit sex and violence. But how could a shitty (literally!) movie about gross cockroaches that dance around like they were in a Busby Berkeley musical be appealing to anyone? Well your answer is this: it made back less than $2 million in the box office, so it was a certafiable bomb. It attained cult film status on home video, and while it is certainly an awful movie, it's still rather silly gross fun, and it will definitely satisfy a morbid curiosity in how crezy an idea for a movie can be, and yet be fully realized into a feature length motion picture and then released in mainstream movie theaters across the country. Also, seeing as how it stars Jerry O'Connell, who has been a guest on Comedy Death Ray, perhaps you guys can get him in the studio to explain what the hell he was thinking. Anyway, "Joe's Apartment" is my nomination. Love the show, and I'm looking forward to more eps!
  6. I've been holding in this fart for 6 hours now and... oh god... here it comes...
  7. Lando

    Oscar (1991)

Just putting this one out there. I remember it being in theaters, but have yet to see it (will soon, it's on the Encore schedule), but I wanted to throw it out there since Stallone will soon become king of HDTGM: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6UNQB1Lo1s
  8. Hey everyone my name is Nick from Sketchy Nonsense. We have been trying to reformat our show to make it better. We have been going for more of a comedy route as of late and would love some feedback. Linked below is two podcast that we have tried this format on. We're trying to use news and other topical things with comedy sketches. Let us know how we are doing or what we could do better. Thanks

  12. Hi all, I am very new to podcasting, and would really love some feedback on the first few episodes of my podcast, which I have put together with a friend. I hope this doesn't seem like self-promotion, I am just very unsure as to whether the format of the show is good! It's a show where we take pop culture references and interpret them overly literally (all satirically!), and it's called "Literally What Does That Mean?". Any feedback in the comments would be great, or I can give you my email address if that's better! Thanks, Joe https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/literally-what-does-that-mean/id1234743933?mt=2
  13. I have zero doubt in my mind that self-promotion on here is frowned upon. BUT HEY, FROWNIN' TAKES A LOTTA MUSCLES AND WE COULD ALL USE THE WORKOUT! I co-host a podcast with my buddy Cody called Honey, I Shrunk the Binge! The concept of the show: we take a show we've never seen before and watch only the series premiere and series finale and review it! Countless hours of binge-watching carelessly condensed into an hour! We are still new to this and any feedback or recommendations for shows to tackle would be greatly appreciated! You can find us at http://www.HoneyIShrunkTheBinge.com or on Apple Podcasts & Stitcher <333333333333

    Fact Up! Podcast

Hey kids. This embarrasses me because I know how this looks. Some pathetic new podcast host begging for attention from people he knows are selective about what they listen to. HOWEVER, please, just allow me to introduce you to the Fact Up! podcast. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/fact-up/id1056780413?mt=2 It's three comedian/improvisers based in London. The premise is that we're trying to be intellectually informative but are often de-railed in that endeavour by a very strange guest. We've done over 50 episodes so there's plenty for you to sink your ears into. Here's a recent GEM - Episode 51, all about China; http://www.on-soap.c...-jonathan-broke Listen, subscribe, tell pals, download all episodes to your phone then throw your phone in the ocean then buy a new phone and repeat until volcanic ash blackens the sky? Thank you for taking the time to read this and please now continue having a great life. Ian

    Shanghai Surprise (1986)

The title alone is pretty fuckin' ridiculous(and could be seen as somewhat racist), but hold onto your assholes, it gets worse. It stars Sean Penn and the dark succubus known as "Madonna" as star crossed lovers in Shanghai(let that marinate for a moment). He's a treasure hunter, she's a nurse seeking the healing powers of opium for her patients(yes, that is the actual synopsis). It cost 17 million dollars, and only grossed 2.7 million, and Madonna won worst actress at the razzies. The trailer:

    Improv Podcast Stigma?

Hey if you're on Earwolf you must like improv podcasts-- I have one that improvises character interviews off of real news headlines. This isn't a plug, I'm not gonna post the show name or anything, I just want some thoughts on promoting it. I feel like many people don't like improv, or at least think less of things described as improv than things described as comedy-- Do you think having improv in the name or description would hurt a podcast in growing listenership? Comedy Bang Bang and Holllywood Handbook, for example, are both obviously improv but neither one broadcasts that fact anywhere. They just say comedy. Improv4Humans and Spontaneanation obviously go the other way. Any thoughts?
  23. Hi everyone, i have been looking for a place to discuss podcasts for a long time both DIY and very well produced ones like on earwolf, hopefully this is the place i have been looking for. I figured i would post my podcast to start, i would recommend starting on Episode 15 because we got much better equipment, the sound quality is much higher. i welcome any feedback and give it a chance, they are only 30 minutes and the first 5-10 tend to be a lot of set up with the pay off coming in the second half of the episodes. thanks all
