Rising star Jerrod Carmichael is back by popular demand to sit down in the front seat that is Sklarbro County! Jerrod talks about where he started doing comedy, prison sitcoms, and the best most recent joke that he has come up with. Dan Van Kirk is also here with some crazy stories such as; a Go-Go dancer stops axe wielding maniac at a gay bar, Central Michigan University hosted a public Condom Casino Night, and another edition of Where’s the Headline? Plus, Mark Wahlberg stops by the studio to tell us about his upcoming trip to South By Southwest.

Huge fan, except I think you should look into finding a better hockey team other than the Blues. Just saying.

PS
I think you guys would 'dig' this song.

Wow! Jerrod knocked it out of the park! He was the PERFECT guest for a 'county' episode. He totally got the flow and timing down and was just wonderful. Have him back often!

Long time listener, first time commenter.

Off the top of my head I can name only one prison sitcom, the british show PORRIDGE. Link to the first episode here: .

It is very much a child of it's time. But certainly there's a place for a new series in that milieu, don't you think ?

Didn't Hogan's Heroes take place in a war prison?

Fox had a sit-com called "Women in Prison" during its inaugural season:

So many laugh-out-loud moments in this episode! Thanks for introducing me to Jerrod -- hilarious and a fellow Tarheel!

I'm working an internship with our local police department, and I cannot imagine how an officer would write up that story about the half-naked guy stealing the sword and black cat and then eating another family's food. Or how his superior could read it with a straight face.
