Episode 169 — Clean Fake Faint

Recommended Posts

Twitter King Rob Delaney brings his manly beard to the special VPN edition of Sklarbro Country! Rob tells us about the pain he feels when he’s away from his children while doing stand-up on the road, some of the rejected titles for his new book “Rob Delaney: Mother. Wife. Sister. Human. Warrior. Falcon. Yardstick. Turban. Cabbage.” singing the national anthem multiple times at Fenway Park & Dodger Stadium, and recently taking over the MLB Twitter account. After Rob answers some listener questions, we call up Bruce Jenner to ask how he’s been dealing with his recent breakup. Don’t forget to get your tickets for the Sklar Bros visits to Lexington, KY; St. Louis, MO and their one-hour special tapings at the Majestic Theatre in Madison, WI.

Still don't like Cards fans acting like a small market team. 4th highest payroll in the NL. Almost twice as much as my Bucs

Another great podcast from the Sklars. Best part: finding out that Rob Delaney's dad is a sucker for femmy soft rock! That has to be made into a character: The Great Sensi-tini. Imagine a car trip where he is berating the kids, then Belinda Carlisle's 'Heaven Is a Place on Earth' comes on and he gets all choked up and tells the kids how much he loves them!

They're not doing that. They just said they're not like the Yankees or Dodgers because they develop more players themselves. Also, St. Louis is the 18th-biggest MLB market (almost as low as "your" Bucs), so they kind of are a small market team. They're not a small revenue team, but unlike most of the other teams with high payrolls, it's more a case of revenue following on-field success than the reverse.

'Shut the hell up, Heaven is a Place on earth is on!' Priceless.

Just a quick thought, why haven't the guys written a book? I think that would be one of the most comeplling comedy reads ever. The emotion of their father, the story of what it was like to be twins in this business. It all makes for the most unique one of those ever.
