Episode 85 — David Letterman, Our Close Friend

Recommended Posts

The guys have several apologies to make concerning their recent Comedy Bang Bang appearance and Best Of episode. Then it's the premiere of the first episode of the new Rotten Tomatoes Podcast presented by Wolf Cool, followed by an appearance from rogue comedian WILL HINES to discuss the sad event of the past week and the influence of Dave.

The only way you'll be redeemed is to reveal yourself as the literal amalgam of our beloved hosting duo

Also, Chumpty Dumpty is another great play on the word chump.

Will Hines is funny, and Hayes is coming in great. Good Engineering, S-Tard.

Isn't it funny how Brett-style people is cool now and non-Brett-style people is pumping our gas?

This must have been really tough on the boys. I don't really know Letterman, but if anything happened to Alan Carr: Chatty man, I don't think I'd be able to function anymore :(.

Lots of love, robotam.

I wasn't really paying attention to the epi first listen but I really enjoyed the Sammy Rhodes ref. Also,

Good ep, except I noticed there was no WolfCool tag at the end. Did the suits make S&H change it back?

That's not very Dave-like at all. Dave would wear that WolfCool tag like a velcro suit and jump right into the velcro wall of keeping it on the end of his podcast.

There is no shortage of Will Hines on Earwolf lately. This is a good thing.

Holy Shit. I had no idea Hayes was possibly in his 70s and Sean was well over 100. Their youthful energy and playful spirits really make them seem so much younger.

Ep Highlights:

- Acknowledgement that the real best of episode was everything they've ever done.

- 'gap toothed fucking buffoon.... who I like"

- the extensive mocking of 'I was influenced by David Letterman' pieces last week by guys like Scott Aukerman

- surprise guests of Lauren Lapkus and a Wild Horses of talking loud.

- 'somehow making a list proprietary'

- ANNNNNNNNNNNND PROVERSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Going to throw it out there. Choose your real name and face, because it is infinitely more satisfying to hear than something like, oh, LilacThunder.

Pretty great ep. Sean's directing traffic story may be an all-time Sean moment for me. Show just keeps gettin' better, guys

Great job on the levels, Brett. Hayes sounded like he was on the other side of the freakin country

Anyways this was a good episode that was fun and cool. Congrats Houston.

the link so you know I didn't do this. http://www.urbandict...php?term=s-tard

s-tard

Similar to using retard but harsher. Just like r-tard, but 's' is further down the alphabet so it is crueler. Usually used as an insult.

Jenny: Did you watch Tweenies last night?

Mark: No I didn't you complete s-tard.
