EPISODE 27 - Underneath the Eiffel Tower: Live from Largo

Recommended Posts

I wish Scott would have done like all previous guests and stayed gone for the improv portion.

You're gonna need to do some work on your eighth post to redeem yourself after this

I don't understand why the guest should stay away if they can hang with the improvers. I don't think it should be mandatory but I certainly hope Andy Daly hopped in on his episode.

Spoiler alert, he did.

Poor Rocky, being bullied by the bully dog. So sad! I'm glad he's not tasty so Scott doesn't have to eat him.

Thanks for the info KatherineIsOdd, I was really wondering about this and now I'm even more excited for the episode!

Also, like Scott and Eric Stonestreet when Scott said your catchphrase, I am wondering if you are Katherine or if you're someone else, man or woman, cyberbullying a person named Katherine. Cybernetic bullying is a serious issue, I'll actually take the unpopular stance and say that it's more serious than dog bullying.

Wow I had no idea Gourley was with Amanda Lund, now there's a lucky, lucky man

Oh man, that info is right at your ears' fingertips! Gourley mentions her once in a while on all of his podcast projects where he's not strictly doing a character. Pistol Shrimps Radio (Amanda 'Fun Buns' Lund is a teammate), I Was There Too (pretty sure he's mentioned her on there), and James Bonding for sure.

In fact, if you want to have a good time, you should check out James Bonding ep #006: Casino Royale, wherein Matt Gourley and Matt Mira have on the Ghost Girls Amanda Lund and Maria Blasucci to discuss Matt's favourite (British spelling) Bond film. It's really fun. Amanda REALLY likes Casino Royale. They return for episode 019: License to Kill.

P.S. 'lucky, lucky man'? More like lucky, lucky lady. He's a SPICY PEPPER on Rate My Professor.

Eban's intro music was tight on this episode! It's always super-awesome, of course, but I mean he referenced music stuff I recognized which added to my personal enjoyment (like, how sometimes in threads to other episodes people comment on all the awesome little bits Eban sneaks into the proceedings— now I get to qwrite a comment like those!).

From playing the Jazzy Rascal tune, to the Bond theme when Matt came out, to his slow crescendo of the Comedy Bang Bang theme as PFT introduced Scott and then just full on jamming on those piano keys like Reggie Watts was in his fingers— he would also send stuff into a minor key for a sobering and/or foreboding effect— I was really REALLY loving Eban this whole episode.

I really enjoyed his piano rendition of the CBB theme, awesome to hear him rock out.

"I wish we could see food the way children see food: as a chore to be endured."

Paul's off the cuff monologues are better than most actual stand up sets.

I'm Canadian and I've never heard of French-Canadians being called Pepsis, although it is true that it is more popular than Coke over there.

I'm Canadian too and I've never heard of that as an insult. That blew my mind.

Pepsi does have most of the market share up here though

I got legitimately excited for Scott's 3rd commercial. Maybe he should join PFT for a few "real" podcast adverts.

Also, sometimes you can find me online at home on my couch.

What a great episode that was ! Really great. As a frenchman, I now see the absurdity in our Mayor of France system.

Gourley was on fire. The live episodes are always a pleasure to listen to.

"over" here? You mean of course "up" here...unless I'm in Alaska. I guess if I'm in Alaska, parts of "here" are...over...there....I'll shut up now

I could listen to an entire show that was nothing but Scott talking complete nonsense and he and Paul antagonizing each other. The great improv was a nice bonus.

You're describing every episode they're on together (CBB, Spont, Speakeasy...wherever they join up). I love these two
