there's no one movie per director rule

Recommended Posts

There isn't, but i think they need to build a base of varying films before doubling up on a director. If this was episode 450 and there weren't two from the same director, I'd be upset that Tarantino only has one. If the Canon spans the entirety of cinema, this show is still very much in its infancy, so I wouldn't worry.

Agreed about doubling up. I just read a lot of comments saying X film shouldn't be voted in because it's not a director's best work. I don't think that's a fair argument at all, so I wanted to clarify

And De Palma. Although one of his didn't get in.

Spielberg has THREE episodes with at least one of his movies up. - Temple of Doom, Jurassic Park v King Kong, and E.T. v Close Encounters. And Jurassic Park got a second try, and got in. In a manner most foul.

There sure isn't, and I thought it was kind of weird that one guest (edit: Michael Lerman) seemed to think there was.
