Episode 500 - The 500th Episode

Recommended Posts

Jason “Heynong Man” Mantzoukas, intern Gino Lambardo, El Chupacabra, and Scott’s nephew Todd are all here to celebrate the 500th episode of Comedy Bang! Bang! We’ll hear Todd’s signature “Oy Yoi Yoi” segment, what Chupacabra has been up to since we last heard from him, and Gino getting too deep undercover for the FBI. Later, Cal Solomon, founding member of The Sugarhill Gang stops by to read his screenplay he wrote based on his life story. Plus, we meet athlete Tommy Scuzz who tells us about getting kicked off of the baseball team for not playing by the rules.

I almost drove off the road on the highway this morning when I was laughing so hard I was in literal tears. Gabrus is amazing. Gino's FBI story was absolutely ridiculous, I couldn't even breathe. "Pele Pele scores great goals" andddd that's from Arthur. Thanks Lauren for conjuring that up in my brain full of useless random things.

Coinstar. Coinstar. Coinstar.

Luckily I didn't take the bus this morning - I would have had to turn this off I was laughing so hard.

I love Gabrus describing what the priests did to/with him over and over while Scott is trying to move on. also, to catch a predator is a prank show. amazing.

In response to the Poi Poi Poi Mantzoukas mishap Monday, The Comedy Bang Bang! hit catchphrase "Hey Gnong Man" is hereby a defunct, impotent cluster of words, and an altogether tremendous breach of consumer trust

I'm 20 minutes in and I've already choked on my drink twice... this ep might be the last thing I ever hear.

Also, the only person laughing more than me during the first 20 minutes has been PFT off mic.

Crazy how Gabrus always stands out, even with some of the funniest people out there. He's too damn funny

And the only thing this amazing ep was missing... was the great Willy Mapleton of course! C'mon Scott, you're basically the same person. Might as well have him on every show

Amazing. I don't know if it was planned or not, but I love how (almost) everyone just dove in rather than the usual gradual introduction of characs, Also, some C+ selling out with Scott asking Todd for his "prepared" segment and Zouks saying that the goat wanted to freestyle as an audition for Cal.

if they made an album of plugs themes, I would almost certainly buy it. they've been so good recently. I mean they've always been great - even when people were submitting terrible songs for jukebox jury, the plugs themes were still really good - but they keep getting better and better

I too understood "Pele, Pele, scores great goals," so more than one person got it, hooray! The only other line I remember from that song is "Kristi Yamaguchi skates so well."

Congratulations on 500 episodes to everyone at CBB!

That madness at the beginning is just so great, its why I get giddy when I see a lineup like this for an anniversary or specific number episode. Off the rails like its not even a joke, but I like that everyone settled in and almost sat around the campfire to hear Gino tell his awful tales
