Something's wrong with the Earwolf Site

Recommended Posts

Whenever I click on an episode of any podcast on the Earwolf site to listen to, the page doesn't load properly and it looks like this:

It's having server issues or something. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hey indi9o82 - I can't recreate the issue, what browser are you using? Are you still having trouble?

Yes, it's happening because Wordpress (the CMS they use to publish Earwolf.com) has accidentally cached a server error instead of the CSS file that dictates the visual style of the site. Specifically:

http://cdn2.earwolf....ss?m=1329375316

They just need to purge this cached file, which I assume happens automatically whenever a new episode of any podcast is published. Unfortunately, I don't think that will happen until 12:00 AM Monday. Somebody light the WolfSignal.

Edit: WolfSignal already answered!

Yeah, it's still doing the same thing. I'm using Google Chrome.

I'll just wait and see if it's resolved Monday.

All the machines in my house are having the same problem, on both Firefox and Chrome browsers. It looks exactly like indi9o82's screenshot. The problem starts whenever I click any link on the main page.

THANK YOU. I thought I was the only one that this was happening to. It's a bit nerve racking and yet nobody responds. Wow. Oh well..

To be more specific, not every link from the main page causes this problem. The forums, and the earwolf show directory look normal. Episode and guest pages are where I seem to be getting these problems. Sometimes show descriptions are covered up unless I resize the font, but for the most part, I can still see all of the content. It just looks really ugly ;)

Yep. Also, I'm unable to click on photos to enlarge them from the thumbnail view when I click on an episode. Luckily I'm a bit computer literate and know to find the photo link and enlarge it that way..but that's too much drama.

Hi Guys - thanks for posting. We're working on it, although not sure exactly what the issue is right now. Thanks for being patient with us!

Hi all - I've cleared the caches server-side, so please clear your browser cache and try again.

If you continue to experience this issue, please email me at andres@earwolf.com so I can try to pinpoint the specific problem.

Thanks!

Andres has come up with a solution to view it in Incognito. Thank you, Andres for your help. Now I can shut the heck up about it. (Which I'm sure folks are wanting me to do) I'm aware. :)

Excellent, I can now view the site normally. Thanks to Andres and Jeff for getting this sorted out so quickly! At the very least, this problem caused me to sign up for a forum account. I'll be sure to post comments on my favorite episodes in the future!
