Summer is about to start so why waste it going to the beach and having barbecues when you can watch terrible summer movies! This whole summer HDTGM is devoting itself to the best worst summer Movies and we're starting the season off right with a truly awful sequel and we want YOUR suggestions for more bad summer movies for the next batch of episodes. We also want your questions for Danny Trejo who is joining us to discuss his newest film Badass. Submit your questions to the forums and enjoy!

Batman and Robin

Please do Batman and Robin. But here are some other suggestions:

Transformers (fuck, any of them)
Mortal Korbat
Judge Dredd
Steel (the one with Shaq)
Godzilla (the one with Matthew Broderick because that is ass)

Back in October of 1997 I went to Iceland and on the plane ride over there I had a few choices in movies (this was when personalized entertainment on planes was pretty new), among the choices were Batman & Robin and Speed 2. Since I remembered enjoying Batman Forever (which I have since seen as an adult and it is terrible) I thought I'd give Batman & Robin a shot. I watched Batman jump out of the Batwing, fly down on a surfboard, fall through a skylight and say "Hi Freeze, I'm Batman." Right there I turned to Speed 2 and never looked back.

If you get Cinemax you have a couple of days to watch it. If you have HBO then it looks like you'll be able to watch it on HBO Go June 1.

This came out at the very beginning of September, so it's a BIT of a stretch to consider it summer, but 2005's Ben Kingsley/Edward Burns/Catherine McCormack time travel Ray Bradbury adaptation action movie A Sound of Thunder is one of the most inept things I've ever seen. You will never see anything like it.

Please, please do Van Helsing.

Bad enough I watched this turd in 2004 this but then I spent a summer working at the Universal Studio's Hollywood walk thru "scare maze" based on it.

I don't know if 'summer movies' means movies released in the summer, or movies that people would associate with summertime, but -- if it includes the latter -- I have to throw out a recommendation for Boat Trip.

You guys! My bf and I just got in from the video store and the guy at the counter held up Speed 2 and asked with genuine concern, "Are you sure that you guys meant to grab this one?"

I can't stop laughing.

Howard the duck!! Or one of the Gremlins movies. I just re-watched Gremlins 2 last weekend and that movie is hilarious. What's weird is that it's totally meta throughout and it was made in 1990. If there was ever a movie about Mogwai's that was before its time, that was it lol.

The end of this movie must have 10x the faceless civilian casualties of Fast 5.

This reminds me of a few years back when my roommate bought me "Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD" on DVD for Christmas, which was the made-for-TV flick starring The Hoff. She said that she'd never felt so uncomfortable and embarrassed, so judged by the Best Buy cashier, that she would have felt better if I'd just asked her to buy me porn instead.

Matrix Reloaded, Staying Alive, The Fly II, Teen Wolf Too. I would love to hear yall do any of these sequels because they are pretty bad but badly funny at the same time.
