Here's some fascinating old-school, groundbreaking CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) to take a look at:

Brilliance, 1985. Ostensibly some sort of ad for canned food, but really, just an excuse for a sexy robot lady. Maybe she's related to the gynoid chick who does Improv4Humans?

And here's another bizarre ad, this time supposedly for Hawaiian Punch of all things. Just... get ready for madness.

(for anyone else who thinks this stuff is cool, you can find a ton more at the VintageCG youtube channel. Maybe I'm just weird though - I am an animator after all, so I'm predisposed to digging this kind of stuff already)

And, of course, this needs no explanation. Just Wayne Brady & "Iron" Mike Tyson recreating Bobby Brown's classic "Every Little Step" video. Because, that's why!

Commercial ostensibly showing how much better the Atari XEGS was than the Nintendo NES. As the top comment says, "Why play 80 awesome games when you can play thousands of shitty ones?"

This is a supercut I made years ago (and forgot about) from a tv documentary called Relics: Einstein's Brains, which is quite rare (hence the Swedish(?) subtitles) and has been the subject of debate regarding it's truthiness. Did you know Einstein's brain was removed within 8 hours of his death, for study at Princeton? And that it was subsequently stolen, and missing for decades? This documentary is the story of one Japanese man's search for Einstein's brain. I added the little title sequence at the beginning; the rest is just edited down from the raw footage.

I got that film off some torrent site and eventually got a copy of the dude's book (same title) off ebay; it is exactly as insane as the video. I keep it on my nightstand and my wife thinks I'm a lunatic.

Long before Ali G, Borat, Dennis Pennis and Jiminy Glick there was Norman Gunston. Here are some of his best (including interviews with people I know you are interested in).

Sally Struthers (just some context, the Logies is the Australian version of the Emmys):

Frank Zappa (context, Norman finishes with the ABC news theme tune)

Iggy Pop in 1982 completely off his face on Australian TV Show Countdown. A quick interview followed by a "peformance" of "I'm Bored" where Iggy doesn't even attempt to disguise the fact he is lip synching, scares the shit out of the studio audience (almost exclusively 14 year old girls) and then shoves the mic down the front of his pants:
