I can't get enough of Eric's Man on the Street Interviews. Every one of them has been hilarious.

I just love that Eric can live in l.a. for more than a year and not know that the farmers market is less than a mile from his house. Aloof is an understatement.

As someone who used to work at a hospital, I can substantiate that there are, indeed, way more "strange object in ass" stories than you would think actually happen in real life. Plus, people are willing to yell their embarrassing excuses across a crowded ER if they think it will cut down on their wait time.

Also, Matt's observation that the drunk tailgater actually felt sorry for Eric the Unpaid Intern was hilarious!

Damn it.

Edit: I don't go on 4Chan, but I do lurk many internet forums. Mostly AI ones and this.

It's a super weird anonymous forum, that starts memes. I wouldn't recommend going, it's mostly gross pictures.

ohh definitely not interested now haha its tainted

Please explain to an old man, what is 4Chan?

According to Know Your Meme, the phrase "rustled my jimmies," which Eric used in this episode, is an Internet meme that has been used on online discussion forums, most notably 4chan.

I'm not very prolific in Internet forums (other than Earwolf!), but my past experience as a newspaper reporter has provided me with the patience and tools (Google! Bing.com!) to research inane Internet references that I missed out on.

Also, I have to Google approx. 75% of what Eric says, both on the show, and in life.

Fun behind-the-scenes fact for Eric's fanbase: Eric's favorite website is Reddit. And maybe Pizza Hut Delivery Tracker.

Oh man, Matt Besser discovering 4chan. That makes me laugh.

Most of those hilarious internet memes on the internet originate at 4chan's /b/ board. Rickroll is one of the most famous examples.

However it's also full of a lot of strange porn. Very strange porn.

don't believe eric for a second. he is the internet. he's texted me before saying he's run out of 4chan and reddit and needs more.

My friends are balls deep in the interwebs as well Brettster, and it's a deep/epic rabbit hole. Earwolf has a great forum with very few trolls, whereas 4chan is the bottom of the gutter for the internet. That's where the craziest shit on the web comes together. There's also as Sarel said, very strange "porn."

So basically I agree.

This has been a big week. First Paul answered my question on HDTGM?, then Matt was this close to saying the name of our podcast when they selected my video suggestion. I love where you went with it, funny show as always.

Question to ask at the farmer's market: Which is better, Walmart or Target?

I think Matt will eventually pull some strings to have Eric host an interview show on Earwolf in which Matt chooses all of the questions.

Farmer's Market Questions: Have you ever trespassed onto private property? What is your proudest achievement?

The line "my six month old committed suicide" elicited far more laughter then it should.

I also support Eric having an interview show. Look out Charlie Rose.

Farmer's market questions: why do you buy organic food? what is your favourite recipe?

What questions should Eric ask at the farmer's market?

Why are you choosing the farmer's market over WholeFoods?

Great work, Eric.

My favorite line from the whole show (even though it wasn't part of a scene) was Pamela's "Carmen from that I know..."

Farmer's Market Question: Can I have a bite of that?

Wow, this episode was so creative. Eric's segments really made me laugh, too. Eric needs to be spoken to sharply for speaking in internet memes in real life, though.

Matt Walsh is incredible, every episode he has been in has been golden. He makes every scene hilarious even when he plays the straight man. Bear Down Podcast desperately needs more love, last weeks episode with Besser and Horatio Sanz was one of the best. He definitely needs to plug it more around Earwolf, I bet the character segments would attract a large crossover audience if only people knew about it.
