Yeah, this would be a good movie to cover: It tries to be dark/gritty/edgy/whatever to the point of goofiness, ex. their bomb prank didn't just kill someone; it killed a mother and her baby The way the time travel works is inconsistent. Sometimes, he's able to change the outcome of events; other times (like with his father), his presence merely makes it how it was in the first timeline; and of course, the stigmata scene in the prison Speaking of the prison, he's thrown into prison before his trial? With inmates who seem to have already been convicted? For a killing that, as the movie says, could probably have been argued to be self-defense? And a hundred other weird details and that make you go, "What?".

Starring Deborah Foreman as the first female chauffeur at a limousine company who has to deal with the chauvinism of the other drivers. She later falls in love with one of her passengers, played by Sam Jones, who unbeknownst to her is the son of the company's owner. Sounds like fairly pedestrian romcom fare, but there are a lot of insane, inexplicable, downright bonkers scenes in it. For example, Penn and Teller have a small part as an oil sheik (Teller) and his "bodyguard" (Penn), actually a con artist who swindles Teller out of a bunch of money. This is nowhere near the weirdest part of the movie. Trailer above. Note what happens at 35 seconds.

Well, "Not tonight, Josephine," is a quote supposedly from Napoleon (when declining to sleep with his wife... like Whitney does later in the movie!), so maybe it's just idiosyncratic command syntax? Also, it plays "La Marseillaise," the French national anthem, furthering the connection. Not sure why it's eaten by a shark, though. Regarding Rick's relationship with his mother, when she questions him about his grades, he distracts her by hugging her, picking her up and spinning her, and telling her she has a great ass[!]. His mother not only laughs this off, but says, "It sure is a good thing you're cute, kid." The whole thing is disconcertingly flirty. Also, earlier in the same scene, his sister explains that she's late because she had to go to the 7-11 and was held up comforting a woman who was apparently in labor, but the baby never showed up so they took her home? This is yet another baffling scene that is never brought up again but can be shrugged off the explanation of "It's Florida."

During the race, after Cru does his backflip, the announcer says, "Hulk Hogan, eat your heart out!". What does this mean? I don't think Hulk Hogan was particularly known for doing backflips.
