    Episode 9.3 — Time Crunch: Day 3

I would love to address something. Yesterday, Matt said that the podcasts would be judged on how "funny" they were. Today, we're told that TL won because of how "engaging" they were. Did they not listen to the podcast where they said this, because this is fucking blowing my mind. First of all, just piss poor judging from all sides. I know Matt said it was a clean slate, but it still felt like a clear nod was given to TL. In fact, it almost became a "how can we make this shit more tolerable" executive meeting when they broke down the show. Also, if you want an engaging podcast, listen to a NPR podcast. I have come to believe that if I want a comedy podcast, I should go to Earwolf. Unfortunately, if you want a shitty couple talking about penis sizes, you're going to listen to TL. Also, Frank said that even if LHR got the hour with Zach, they couldn't use any scripts and had to shoot the shit with him. Well, that's kinda fucked up as well. You're telling a SKETCH COMEDY PODCAST to act like an INTERVIEW PODCAST in the course of 1 hour. How is this not rigged? Then, the icing on the cupcake, you tell them that maybe it would have been a good idea to name drop Zach in a sketch. Look, I don't care if Zach dropped out at the last minute, the most professional thing to do would to go about business as usual. And the sketch was funny. I'm sorry, I don't see how it didn't beat out two aussies bitching and moaning about kicking people out of a radio studio or a couple talking about their first time. I would not say the "Earwolf" brand is tarnished, but I would worry about the fairness of the competition. I think at some point, you have to allow for the audience to help decide who to pick to be the next Earwolf podcast. Because, let's face it, you're going to come to us and ask us to support Earwolf, we might as well have a say to who gets in. But I loved LHR and their FTW attitude. Earwolf would be stupid not to go back to them in a couple of months and offer a smaller, try out contract to test it out with it's format!

    Episode 9.2 — Time Crunch: Day 2

Look, I could understand if Frank had told all three contestants "You have 30 minutes, plus, you must incorporate Zach into the mix". If that was it, then yes, even I as a huge LHR fan, would accept that LHR should be eliminated. But if you think a rant that we've heard 90 Billion times by two guys and a conversation between a couple about first time sex and penis sizes is more original than a well written sketch, GTFO of the room! TL should be getting the boot, but Earwolf is built on the chatfest, and the judges were pro-chat fest. This week, would have been a good week to just do an original 10 min show each about what they can offer to the show. Instead, I get told that LHR wasn't original enough and they are the MOST ORIGINAL podcast of the competition. You guys really dropped the ball this week. Left Handed Radio is going to be more sucessful than LDDC or TL. I say, if Earwolf doesn't pick them up, Maximum Fun or Adam Corolla should pick them up and run with it.

So, LHR is going to get eliminated because they didn't name drop about Zach, but TL gets in because they talked about penis sizes? [attachment=6627,144]

    Episode 8.3 — Using a Famous Guest: Day 3

All I'll say is this....every time Totally Laime comes out with a bad performance, they keep surviving! But now, I think we see who the truly strong podcasts are! My Dark Horse, LHR, keeps killing it with some good sketches. I didn't think they were getting respected in the beginning, but they are coming around and people are liking it. Totally Laime, I don't like them, but I can see why people would like them. A likeable host, a good concept, they would make for a good podcast on Earwolf, but I keep thinking that there are a lot of those chat shows on Earwolf already! Little Dum Dum Club, maybe the only solid podcast in the competition. I don't think they every made it to the bottom 3 in anything! I would say they are the front runners in this! But I want Left Handed Radio to win it all! WE NEED A SKETCH SHOW ON EARWOLF! Matt Besser, never change! You Da Man!

    Episode 6.3 — Sketches: Day 3

I think the right decisions were made. TL had the worst sketch, but it's not a show that relies on sketch so they get a pass. I just wanted something like this to shake thing up and show that even the toprunners have a chink in the armor. If you asked me, I might have moved Little Dum Dum into the bottom 3 and moved Bob And Dan to the top 3 only because Little Dum Dum sketch was kinda force upon and didn't make any sense. But this week might have put everybody back on equal levels. Here's hoping Left Handed Radio keeps doing a good job!

    Episode 4.3 — Recurring Segments: Day 3

I'll be honest, I think if any podcast had to go this week, it had to be Totally Laime. Lame or Totally sounds like it would fall off in a couple of episodes. Overall, I'm not a big fan of the podcast, but it's just my opinion. I think the judges have been slightly more critical of sketch shows than chat shows. Sketch shows have reoccurring characters that they bring out and that's just as good as reoccurring segments. A sketch show would be great on Earwolf, they already have one too many chat shows.
