    Episode 14 — Staind Glass

If the Earwolf shop offered a Staind Glass stained glass, I would buy it without hesitation and hang it in my office window.

Will your recent interaction with The Residents on Twitter parlay into an appearance of that incredible clip of The Residents dancing behind a crooning Conway Twitty (and David Sanborn's mad science hair) on the show Night Music? http://youtu.be/PGGMT75tZQs

Episode 158 — Words with Friends

    Podcasting Capsule! Gillian is incredible.

Episode 30 — Director's Edition: Cool as Ice

I was really struck by Rob's positive attitude. For so many years it seemed like every time he appeared on television or in print, he was angry and defensive. I'm thinking specifically about his uncomfortable appearance on MTV's "25 Lame" in 1999, in which the comedians (Jon Stewart, Leary, Garofalo, Kattan) seemed a little shaken by him. It's nice to see him embrace some of the insanity of his stardom.
  6. Ah, perhaps I was being murky. I was meaning to make the very point as you with that performance--"greatest effect" was a statement towards the overall success of the role rather than the amount of offensiveness.
  7. To Fu Manchu, Thanks for Everything, Joan Chen? One of the strangest and most incongruous fits of casting for me is always John Wayne as Genghis Khan in The Conqueror. And even Peter Sellers seemed to use the role of a stereotypical Chinese man as a go-to in his comedy, with probably the greatest effect in Murder By Death.

    Even Dwarfs Started Small (1970)

    Nic degrees of separ-Cage-tion?
  9. General merriment is so much better than merriment of the specific variety.

    Episode 29.5 — Minisode 29.5

When I was all of six-years-old, I purchased a hot cassette copy of To The Extreme for my professor father because I was sure he would love it. I mean how could he not? It was the hit on the playground! I hope Mr. Van Winkle addresses his chilling turn as himself in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.

    Episode 143 — Grammy Spectacular

And I am a person who laughs out loud and claps his hands at the mention of Todd Glass on Comedy Bang Bang. If we shared an office, there would be a lot of clapter (the dreaded clapping and laughter combo!).

    Episode 6 — Gelmania VI

Favorite line: "I'm Laurie like Piper." I'd really love to hear Brett drop a verse on a KRS-One song.

    H. Jon Benjamin The Kids in the Hall, individually, collectively, or any combination thereof

    Episode 8 — Analyze Phish Episode 4

The only sweater that could really beat Scott's sweater would be a sweater adorned with Scott wearing the dog sweater.

    Tank Girl (1995)

Perhaps my favorite IMDB trivia bit, of any movie: "MGM insisted on cutting a scene of Tank Girl and her kangaroo boyfriend Booga reclining after sex, despite spending $5,000 on a prosthetic penis for Booga." I can't help thinking that Paul F. Tompkins chiming in as Ice-T would be incredible.
