It's funny, I just woke up last night in a fever dream like state in which I remembered how much I watched 'Deep Rising' back in college, and how perfect it would be for HDTGM. It probably falls into the 'so bad it's good' category, but I think everyone would have the best time with it. Treat Williams is amazing. Famke Janssen is sassy. And Kevin O'Connor hits his peak before sliding off into obscurity. Please do this!

There was a great conversation about the fire truck chase scene, but what didn't get covered was its climax. In order to escape the police chasing them, Bond tells Stacey to gun it for the draw bridge that's raising up. We see the fire truck speed onto the bridge and begin to rise up the ramp, but then it cuts to the police cruisers trying and failing to do the same thing. We never get to see what should have been the coolest part....an enormous ladder truck launching out into space and crashing back down on the bridge on the far side with Stacey expertly maintaining control.
