1. Shark pedophiles sound like sharks that abuse young sharks.
2. ...and game shows. (Sorry for the consecutive posts, the board only allows one vid per post.)
3. The Germans know comedy...
4. That makes sense. I'm probably putting too much stock in the influence of Buzzfeed but I take small comfort in the fact that the site only have 2 articles on Sharknado 3, and they are both interviews with Tara Reid and Ian Ziering. No GIF articles, and Buzzfeed post GIF articles on everything. I didn't know that. That explains EVERYTHING--the love of guns and other weapons, the disregard for logic and science, the casual contempt for animal lives, the anti-union practices. No one on the show seems excited about doing a fourth Sharknado. To paraphrase Jason in the Lake Placid eppy, what could be more fun for the audience to hear people unenthusiastically talk about a bad movie. Let's hope when the time comes HGDTM exercise their veto power. I really hate movies that perpetuate the idea that animals are enemies to be conquered and killed.
5. (;_ And people say reading is dead. OK, just going by what I think are the clues--most of which are leprechaun-related--here are my guesses: marijuana seller, grant writer, candy seller, copywriter...and that's all I could think of.
6. Some *ahem* sharkdenfreude: Sharknado 3's ratings decreased by 30% from Sharknado 2. The number of tweets about S3 was also down. Corrections? I guess?: Scott conjectured that S3 is an environmental film. Jason said if that were the case, then Michele Bachmann would not have appeared in the movie. Not necessarily. If you change global warming to climate change and not attribute it to human activities then there's a good chance that you can convince a conservative to grudgingly acknowledge the bare minimum facts that the weather patterns now are different than before. This is my favorite pic from the episode page. Paul has been looking particularly ham ham lately. "The box of Hoff bobble heads is great and all, but a cameo would be better."
7. OK, if the stakes is my soul, as low as that is, I want at least a clue. And non of those BS riddles doled out by sphinxes! It's fascinating that you got a lot of erotic fiction. I guess everyone wants to be the next EL James, or at least that lady who got rich from writing dino porn.
8. They did, towards the end of the podcast. They described the firing of union crew and the subsequent hiring of non-union crew as "shady" and "not great." So glad that the HDTGM gang is pro-union. ETA: The union talk starts at 1:10:49.
9. Agree with your entire post. And now to something more fun than anything in the Sharknados...I guess that you either teach English/Writing or you are an editor.
10. Jason, Paul and Scott were being sarcastic when they were all #ShiaIsMyIndy right? #SharkNAYdo4!
11. You need to save your chill-age, Cam H., especially coming off of Isla Nublar. I don't feel that watching Sharknado 1 and 2 added to my experience of listening to the podcast. I could've saved myself the ordeal and got by with just reviews and GIFs. I doubt it's going to be different with S3. The only vaguely interesting part of S3 was George R.R. Martin's cameo, and only because I get the sense that the people involved with the movie thought it was clever but it just comes off as clumsily on-the-nose. Speaking of enduring stuff for the sake of something else, I recently suffered through S03E07 of Gilmore Girls (I didn't enjoy the show, but watched it because everybody loved it and I had a case of FOMO, only to tap out after a season and a half.) in order to follow the episode of Gilmore Guys that Jason was on. Worth it. Jason's energy on that show was different, quieter. But of course Jason being Jason, even though the topic was Gilmore Girls, there was funny sexual stuff. He also professed the controversial stance of liking Jess, even though Jess is garbage.
12. Haha. Man, that image of George Costanza is burned into our collective consciousness.
13. Hey, this is Sharknado. No explanations needed. Ours not to reason why.
14. For sure. If this godless franchise continues, I don't see how Syfy can resist doing a sci-fi take on Sharknado.
15. I know. I was trying to be funny. I know that this forum sometimes go off in unexpected directions. In the last 2 threads there was a titanomachy in GIFs, a few forum members were suspected of being enemies of the state, and someone went on-and-on about California rolls. What if I suggest the topic, "Tell us how many times you cried during Inside Out, this is a safe space, you big baby," but then a Doctor Strange teaser trailer comes out. Or what if Sharknado 3 is actually interesting and people take upwards of 12 pages to talk about it (LOL).
16. I don't think cynical cash grabs make good HDTGM movies. I don't think there''ll be many corrections and omissions for Sharknado 3. We should think about topics to talk about when we quickly run out of things to say about Sharknado 3. What makes the eppy even better for HDTGM fans are the callbacks to Lake Placid.
17. I want to know which Tyler Perry movie they are going to make Scott Aukerman watch. And since we are inviting previous guests for sequels, maybe Gus would make an appearance. I wonder if he would like Sharknado 3 as much as Runaway.

EPISODE 114 — Runaway

Why are you so interested in the Cabinet of the Republic of Texas, Cameron? And so knowledgeable about our laws? It is true that in order to be a government official in the RoT, the candidate will have to produce a birth certificate, to prove that he's a native Texan and a direct descendant of the Old Three Hundred. Either you are a secret Texan or an agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. No other explanations possible or entertained.

I like avocado and mango! But I don't like soft creamy stuff like avocado and cream cheese in sushi and I also don't like fruits in savory dishes. I'm in despair over the salads in restaurants. Half of the salads have fruits in them and the other half are cobb salad.

EPISODE 114 — Runaway

From the wiki about California roll, "In some countries it is made with mango or banana instead of avocado." Those countries are currently under investigation by the U.N. for crimes against humanity. Your post reminded me of minisode 96.5, in which the gang talked about their food histories (starting at 30:50). June and Jason didn't have sushi until they were in college. That machine is making, you guessed it, California rolls! Oh Stallone compared eating raw fish to "walking across a field and chewing on a cow." I guess he's not a fan of steak tartare either.

These are awesome! I especially like the Paul Scheer emoji. Adorable.

EPISODE 114 — Runaway

OMG, the squinty eyes. Racist neon sign! California roll sucks. Sushi is so commonplace nowadays that you can get them in any ol' grocery stores. But I wonder in 1984 if sushi was something still very exotic. I wonder if the the audience were supposed to think wow in the future you could get sushi so easily and that Ramsay was Mr. Sophisticated for ordering California roll.

EPISODE 114 — Runaway

Maybe Bobby was trying to recharge his tablet. The future is now, ladies and gentlemen (but more gentlemen, I think).
