    Episode 48 - Laundromat

The flashback to the White House robbery might be my favorite Spont moment ever.

    Episode 273 - Preda-Killer

Add this to the list of Howard's inventions being implemented by others. The Yankees are getting in on How to Act. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/yankees-acting-russell-wilson-cam-newton-media-training-170203489.html But they would be so much better off having H. Michael Kre giving them lessons.

    Episode 130 - Teen Witch

That box office mojo link took me down a path that ended up here. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085183/?ref_=tt_rec_tt Quotes Ator: I love you. Sunya: And I love you. Ator: Why can't we marry? Sunya: Ator, we are brother and sister. Ator: I'll talk with our father. I don't know anything else about this movie but now I am praying it is next for HDTGM.

    Episode 130 - Teen Witch

It is amazing that the site includes that this is the 17th ranked movie in the "Witch" genre. That is probably the kindest metric you can find for this movie. Whoops I should have looked closer. 17th is last place.

    Episode 130 - Teen Witch

Based on the events happening at school (football season to prom) this movie has to cover months right? I'd say it felt like it happened over two or three weeks tops. Despite all of the things this movie could have done differently there is really only one thing I wanted. During Brad's football practice scene when they cut from him throwing the ball to the stock footage shot of a football going through a tire they really should have played that up. Have him throw the ball, drop and do his push ups, THEN cut to the stock footage.

    Episode 130 - Teen Witch

The thought I kept having while watching this movie was that it was shocking that this was a theatrically released movie. I was wondering how I had never heard of the Teen Witch riots of '89 from people who paid to see it. Then I found out it is because there weren't enough people to form a riot. From Wikipedia: "The production budget for Teen Witch was $2,500,000. The film was released in the US on April 23, 1989 and grossed $3,875 in its opening weekend at the box office, and only $27,843 in its entire run.[3] April 1989 box office competition included Field of Dreams, starring Kevin Costner and Pet Sematary, written by Stephen King. Both films were released on April 21, 1989, two days before the Teen Witch release." My favorite part of that article is the subtle implication that this movie would have done much better if Field of Dreams wasn't around.
  7. Who can deliver "Answer the fucking question." better than PFT?

Episode 129 - The Apple: LIVE!

I thought those creepy two faced dancers were the only creatively successful thing in this movie.

Episode 129 - The Apple: LIVE!

Regarding BiBi and Alphie's very large child. Obviously the most likely answer is that casting (or the prop master?) just didn't do the math. But maybe BiBi and Alphie did a very nice thing and adopted a child. Very nice right up until they made the child drink the kool-aid with them in the suicide Cadillac Cult. Speaking of which I'd like for my god Mr. Topps to say something more concrete than "maybe there is another planet" before I drank.

Episode 129 - The Apple: LIVE!

The actor that plays Alphie has this as his ONLY credit on IMDB. http://www.imdb.com/.../?ref_=tt_cl_t2 Barring child actors has HDTGM ever covered a movie that was the lead actor's only role?

Episode 129 - The Apple: LIVE!

Off the top of my head I am not able to come up with a more ineffectual "hero" than Alphie. He doesn't stop BiBi from signing the contract, his new song that is going to save the day is a dead end flop, and when he goes to rescue BiBi he has sex with Pandi instead then leaves empty handed. Then he gives up and moves in with a hippie commune. That is his hero's journey.

Episode 129 - The Apple: LIVE!

During the BIM Exercise Hour song they cut to people working out in a gym. Which I feel undercuts their premise somewhat.

    Episode 270 - Government Names

I think the idea is for the guest to have some comment on whatever chart they are doing and then the conversation goes from there. But on a week like this when neither the hosts or guest cares about the video games it doesn't help much. Since they are rotating the charts now maybe they could reach out to the guest ahead of time and let them choose what the second chart should be.

    Episode 128.5 - Minisode 128.5

I'm not a musicals guy so maybe that is why I was more impressed with the insanity. Within genre maybe it is the picture of normality.

    Episode 128.5 - Minisode 128.5

I am coming down on the side of crazy. Trying to put the setting in context it would be like if Suge Knight was the shadow power behind a totalitarian government controlling the country? And he made us pledge allegiance to Gin and Juice? Not pledge with the song. To the song.

    Episode 270 - Government Names

That was one of Howard's best line readings of "Jesus, Kulap."

    Episode 128.5 - Minisode 128.5

I am really looking forward to this episode. I feel like it could lead to Jason's loudest "WHAT IS HAPPENING?" ever. It also let me know that the HDTGM crew are true professionals. I am not sure which live show was recorded first but I would have either had to jump ahead to The Apple or circle back to it during Streets of Fire. But they stayed focused on the task at hand.

Episode 128 - Streets of Fire: LIVE!

The moral of the story is don't steal Tom Cody's ex-girlfriend. And I really took that to heart.

Episode 128 - Streets of Fire: LIVE!

They covered not knowing how much time was passing in the movie. The one I was most curious about was how long after the final showdown with the Bombers was Ellen Aim re-doing that concert? I'd like to think it was less than 24 hours. Billy Fish making her get right back up on that horse. May god forgive me but I was really liking the tire tread wipes.

    Episode 127 - Kazaam: LIVE!

I am dumb for having already thought about this for more than 10 seconds. At the end of the movie Max says "I could sure use a nice hot cup of chocolate." and Kazaam makes one appear for him. The line of dialogue was not "I wish I had a nice hot cup of chocolate." because: A.) It was a conscious writer's choice to show that Kazaam was no longer bound by the rules of wishes. or B.) The writer just forgot to write wish there.

    Episode 127 - Kazaam: LIVE!

What is the setup of Max's school? He is 12 so can't be past 7th grade. Some of his bullies are shown driving so they are presumably at least 16 (unless they are doubling down on being scofflaws). Is this a combined junior high and high school? That seems like a bad setup for the younger kids. I say the real villain of this movie is the school board.

    Episode 127 - Kazaam: LIVE!

I got the impression in the movie that this bootleg concert CD was a scam they had been running for some time. But isn't that the kind of thing that can only work once? Other artists would say "Oh you are the club that leaks out board recorded concerts onto the black market. I think we'll go play down the street instead." And the club itself has no backstage for the performers? When Kazaam was taking his break and they were futilely trying to towel him off he had just barely stepped offstage and was still completely surrounded by fans. When Klass K was performing and the guest rapper came in with his verse one of his rhymes was "Mr. Material Eat No Cereal."

    Episode 127 - Kazaam: LIVE!

Omission. They didn't bring up that they just had to cram in some basketball in that Kazaam bizarrely chose to dispatch Malik by turning him into a ball and dunking him down a trash chute. And the weird little tie in that when Asia was reporting to Malik what she discovered about Kazaam (over their breakfast date??) she said he went to LSU. Going back to Malik's death I felt bad for the medical investigator who would have to write up the report on a human found turned into a sphere.

    Episode 266 - A Positive New Year

Ele did a great job. But I kind of wish Kulap was there because I think she would have come down hard on Howard and his fantasy league for playing in week 17. Howard needs to return the favor to Ed Begley, Jr. and have him visit Jobsite as a Who Charted guest.

    EPISODE 125 - Steel: LIVE!

It would have been great if they made it even more confusing and made reference to him playing ball at LSU.
