    Episode 131 - The Covenant

I disliked this exercise but totally agree with Cameron H. There's a difference between guys and girls here that I'm noticing. It's not like Scarlet Johansson, Michelle Trachtenburg and Alexa Vega surprisingly turned out to be hot. They were cute/attractive girls in the first place, they eventually grew up/matured and it was acceptable to find them hot. There's also that trope where the mom shows the new girlfriend baby photos of the boyfriend, which I find is in play here. It's really bizarre to show evidence of someone you find physically attractive at a time when they were not. Perhaps that is the point of the trope but, we all know that objectively there was a time when your significant other wasn't sexually attractive. There's no need for proof of it. I was totally thinking about Krumholtz too but wasn't going to post it because he's a friend of Paul and Jason's. You know how it's sometimes weird when someone tells you that your friend is attractive and you're like "...I guess I see it."

JCVD is finally going to ascend to the Pantheon of HDTGM Saints. I can only think of one thing this calls for: Now I feel like we wasted that gif thread a while back.

I just took it as true love connected them to the point beyond the physical. Kitsch wasn't going to be awake or want to live if she wasn't cured. He couldn't stand to see her like that. Manitoba is another 1 out of 3 that is 18 and the rest are 19. It was super frustrating visiting SK or ON and being told I'm not legal for another year.

I'm really happy about this episode. They referenced all of my codes names for these characters that I posted in the mini-ep. And on the note of teen girls and the main characters kissing, that is a thing. It makes fanfiction and shipping a lot easier if it's just in-text rather than subtext. Considering how this really is a movie for young teen girls, it all fits together except that I really don't think Renny Harlin had the forethought in this regard.

Brendan Fraser in George of the Jungle also hypnotized me. The Mummy is one of my favourite movies, he plays a great ne'er do well with a heart of gold.
  7. Oh god, the girls' reaction to Jerry's choice of Eileen is amazing

Bro-witches=britches? Used in a sentence: "Man, Sebastian Stan was being such a britch as the new guy that showed up in Ipswich"

Side note, it was super difficult to find a gif of the original Power of Three. The internet hath spoken and they prefer Rose McGowan and Billy Zane

I could not have imagined how much I enjoyed that video. It warmed my heart to hear his earnestness. It makes me feel as happy as this baby polar bear.

I prefer Piper's because I didn't know that Prue also did astral projection at times in the show. She did in some of the novelizations but I didn't consider that necessarily canon. Paige wins because it's orbing and telekinesis combined although the responsibility of being a Whitelighter is not my bag. Phoebe was such a scrappy to me, she just kept getting more and more powers that I was like "Seriously, how much is Alyssa Milano paying you?"

I totally had/have a crush on Chris from Charmed. Definitely agree with him being on the list I too went through a phase where I thought "What if I was a witch?" I watched Charmed from a very early age and was convinced if I tried hard enough I could orb things like Paige. In terms of wanting their powers, it was Paige, Piper, Prue then Phoebe. Also, A+ for witchslap

This song was everything. I'm also down with the remixed version of Ghostbusters in the trailer. I've never seen the original Ghostbusters so I can only add that I'll probably see it but maybe not in theatres (unless the BF wants to go, who knows) Here's my pitch for a character sheet à la LOL: Steven Strait (main character): Low Rent Taylor Lautner Taylor Kitsch: Friday Night Lights (FNL) Toby Hemingway: Low Rent Draco Malfoy (DM) Chace Crawford: Gossip Guy (GG) Sebastian Stan: Winter Soldier or Bucky Barnes (take your pick) It's not at the level of majesty as Shitdicks 1,2 and 3 but it's a start...

I'm with Deanna though in terms of being disappointed by movies, it's partially why I've never gone back and watched the original Star Wars trilogy. A decade of hype is not going to make me watch the films through "80's vision" and realize what an achievement they were at the time. Quick question then: do you have problems with June's voice? I can hear the nuances between them but they are quite similar, being sisters and all. June's been a guest on the Bitch Sesh podcast, talking about Real Housewives. Would you make the same assessment of her because she too enjoys trashy Bravo programming?

Never. The sound the neck made when it fell back was bad enough. I couldn't be mad or frustrated enough to hear that neck snapping sound over and over again. Our robots didn't have a bracelet. You needed to have the magnetic bottle and diapers with the baby at all times, so it was possible to pass it off to "Grandma" when I had a band concert. It was a crash course of the worst case scenario. Even my case, my parents helped out, I didn't actually give birth to a baby and it was still one of the hardest experiences I had. Just the sheer frustration of not being able to fix the problem when it was colicky. I think it was mostly a perspective thing, showing you the worst at a time where you have no real resources of your own or coping skills to help mitigate the situation. Like, first day I called my mom to pick me up because I had this car seat to carry and she just told me to walk home. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's criminal, I think it's a shock and awe program to really hit home the realities of an unintended pregnancy while still in school.

There was a sensor in it. It was super sensitive because you were supposed to be careful obviously. Problem was that it was too sensitive and I ended failing the assignment (my teacher just didn't count it and re-adjusted my mark). The necks on those things would fall back at the drop of a hat, to simulate the need for constant head support. My mom took it to a nurses' union meeting where all the nurses took care of it like it was a real, durable baby.' There were 54 head support failures and 13 shaken babies recorded over my 3 days. Only 3 head support failures were mine.

You lucky bastards. There was a company that developed "realistic" dolls that you could program a pre-recorded rhythm of an actual baby. They recorded 50 babies over 3 days so the teacher could randomize the cycles. It had magnets in the mouth and crotch that would match when you fed it and changed the diaper. They gave you a car seat to carry it. My mom made me walk home up a hill carrying my backpack, diaper bag and a car seat with the baby in it. I had to take care of a robot baby in Grade 7 for 3 days/2 nights. There was a part of the cycle that had a 45 minute fussy period where the only thing you could do was rock it but wouldn't stop crying until 45 minutes was up. That first night at 3;17 am, my mom rocked the robot and my dad rocked me while I bawled, "I'm never having sex! I'm never having a baby..." My little brother was so terrified by my experience that he took the 5-page paper option about the social and economic pitfalls of teenage pregnancy.

I think that it's just efficient to have private stuff all in one book. You only need one hiding spot or lock/key for all your mortifyingly embarrassing musings

How do you aim to move conversation forward by repeating previously stated points though? I think it's counterproductive to not review what others have said.
