I definitely prefer the Lady Gaga version over the '37 version, but imo they're so different. My favorite pairing in the Lady Gaga version was actually the Maine brothers. Â
When Sam Elliott is dropping off Jack for the last time and Jack says "it's you I idolized" and Sam Elliott looks back over his shoulder to back out of the driveway and he's trying not to break...
That really got me. Fortunately I was in the window seat of a plane at the time and nobody saw me lol.

Oh weird! When I was Googling it before watching the movie, most of the images were in B&W

Was everyone's '37 version on Amazon Prime a colorized version? It looked weird to me, like the worst Snapchat filter ever. I wish I had seen the b&w version instead.
For me, the '37 version had too much comedy in it, sometimes at inappropriate times. However, I did like the sassy grandma in the beginning and the trailer scene, which reminded me of The Long, Long Trailer.

I couldn't find the thread where tomspanks picked Flower Drum Song (if there is one), but everything else is there.
I'll be back in next round for my turn. I think I'll have time and I have an idea of what I want to pick.
Nope, there wasn’t a thread. I was robbed

I'm not OCD on many things but I just don't jump into art like that. I start it at the start.
Oh I’m from the school of willy nillyÂ

I watched it without going through the previous ones and it was fine! You can do it!

I’m a bit behind, but I started listening on my vacation. Keeping it in my list for now.Â

Also:
Troop Beverly Hills
Space Camp
Center StageÂ
Serenity
I unironically like Center Stage.
Which Serenity???

Did anyone else notice that in the beginning of the movie, Richard says something like "in my 35 years on this planet," but then later he says that he met the love of his life when he was 15 years old, which was 25 years ago, making him 40. Â

For a split second, I thought she might say yes...but it wasn't that kind of a movie. Â
I liked it overall. I think the 2 leads were fine and I like a good road trip flick. The Fast & Furious dialogue - that was all Jason, right? Â

Did they also build a time machine and get a young Ron Howard to act in it?

I loved the Shallow segment too! I love the song to begin with and I loved that it looked nothing like the rest of the Oscars. Â

Did you guys anything about the Oscars this year? Â
One of my favorite moments was when Olivia Colman won best actress. Ngl I got teary eyed even before she started speaking. Â
