  1. I definitely prefer the Lady Gaga version over the '37 version, but imo they're so different.  My favorite pairing in the Lady Gaga version was actually the Maine brothers.

When Sam Elliott is dropping off Jack for the last time and Jack says "it's you I idolized" and Sam Elliott looks back over his shoulder to back out of the driveway and he's trying not to break...

That really got me.  Fortunately I was in the window seat of a plane at the time and nobody saw me lol.

  2. Was everyone's '37 version on Amazon Prime a colorized version?  It looked weird to me, like the worst Snapchat filter ever.  I wish I had seen the b&w version instead.

For me, the '37 version had too much comedy in it, sometimes at inappropriate times.  However, I did like the sassy grandma in the beginning and the trailer scene, which reminded me of The Long, Long Trailer.

Yooo! I'm still too busy with life to keep up proper, but I wanted to share that I finally got off my lazy bum (I mean... not really, I'm in a chair) and updated my Musical Mondays spreadsheet so it's current!

I couldn't find the thread where tomspanks picked Flower Drum Song (if there is one), but everything else is there.

I'll be back in next round for my turn. I think I'll have time and I have an idea of what I want to pick.

    Nope, there wasn’t a thread. I was robbed 😭

So many choices!! I also vote for Rockula. That was just... beyond. It seems to so perfectly fit the HDTGM brand! Others, I think, I'd also agree with Ladyhawk. They haven't done Highlander, have they? I don't think I've seen that in their archives.

    Also:

    Troop Beverly Hills

    Space Camp

    Center Stage

    Serenity

    I unironically like Center Stage.

    Which Serenity???

I think Richard’s proposal in the diner may just be the cringiest moment since Favreau’s repeated phone messages in Swingers.

For a split second, I thought she might say yes...but it wasn't that kind of a movie.

I liked it overall.  I think the 2 leads were fine and I like a good road trip flick.  The Fast & Furious dialogue - that was all Jason, right?
