Episode 130 - Mike Lawrence, Our Close Friend
putsome gravyonit replied to JulyDiaz's topic in Hollywood Handbook
oh, gosh, no. no no no. no! im saying - you go out, you play in the park with your friends. maybe it's a bit slippery muddy, and maybe you and your friends make a crazy wild game where you stomp around in the swamp part for extra points. then when you're going home, you realize its monday and your dad just did the whole big sunday laundry and he'd be mad seeing how wet and slimy your tom sharpling got. so, you've seen your parents do this a million times - you soak tom sharpling for awhile, then you put him in with some towels and such. then you put it all in the dryer, but don't check the label and see that he needs "tumble dry low" - you leave it at "very hot and very dry" you hear the buzzer, open it up, and see that your tom sharpling is faded, frazzled, shorn and shrunk, and if you even keep it and not donate it to salvation army, you have to wear it like a mike lawrence now -

Ya, this is embarrassing. But I guess, if I could be totally honest, i don't really get what the 'popcorn gallery'... "is"... I mean I get how popcorn is a thing you eat at a movie. But a movie is at a theater. The only time you're at a gallery is an art gallery. Maybe it should be called the Popcorn Theater? Or maybe the Popcorn Lobby? Also I like to sometimes get Raisinets or Sno Caps. Sour Patch Gallery? Anything, literally anything to help me understand, will be gratefully appreciated -
EPISODE 128 — Adam Sachs, Our Cool Bossfriend
putsome gravyonit replied to agata's topic in Hollywood Handbook
lol it was a total setup, jay p. chill, dawg. remember pogs? sean started that in 1975. his uncle bequeathed him a quarter million flourescent plastic tubes, seventeen million square feet of reconstituted paper pulp and a smuggled Soviet People's Half Decimeter Circle Cutter. remember how huge they got? remember how lame they suddenly seemed? well, sean got bored with them when he started sketching out the code for what would become the TOny Hawk pro skater video game franchise. so ah. yah. maybe Adam Sachs is a thing now. dont know what to tell you ;-/ -

Here's a big plus regarding frankingsteins: Since they are just made of piles of spare parts, their skellingtons would be much easier to destroy if it ever got loose. Like it would have lots of vulnerable spots. If the frankingstein skellington ankles were made of pipe wrenches, and their legs were made out of pool cues, just aim your sword or command your hounds to attack the bungee cord strapping them together. Sorry, dont have a lot of time to stop and pleasure myself with the fantasy of a 'sexy' frankingstein. I'm sort of too busy training my mind and weaponizing my life against them? Thanks though!

Hey males and females, I found a post on reddit slash r slash earwolf about a live taping. It's tomorrow, the fifth, at UCB Sunset, at 8:30pm, pacific ocean time. Apparently it's something called "Earwolf Presents" and it seems like a random showcase of Earwolf... stuff. My friend suggested aukerman got some stagetime on the ucb calendar and throws people at it from his station to hang on to the spot. I haven't figured out a better explanation Is anyone going to this? Is this a real thing? My friend (me) has two extra tix. I'll make them available to Hazie Bones and Clemdawg first, if they want to bring their lady-babes, studio execs, bahranian investors or whomever. Otherwise i'm looking for a forum-er who wants to go. Hopefully will be people i've enjoyed interacting with on here. I'll take face value (twelve dollars) or interesting trades. Thank you kindly Wagwan

whattaya mean "won"? i thought it was something you had to sign up and pay for. i've had an automatic debit running for a hundred and twenty three weeks now. it takes a slightly different amount each time, which i figured was just some accounting thing. i even recently got a delightful handwritten thank-you from 'Engineer Shaun', which i figured was a tongue in cheek reference to some episode i missed and the letterhead said "MidWolf", which i figured was a Calvin N. Hobbes subsidiary, some accounting thing. and you're saying you "won" it? something's fishy here. -

Cheeba hawk, since you're handbook nation's Top Dog Kind Bud Mega-ripologist, can you explain some of the finer points of Karan's advice for the rest of us mere mortals? What did he mean to get inside the couch? I only have chairs and a bed. Should I be couch shopping or can i make a pile of what I got and sort of bunker down in there? Also equipment question - vape, edibles, oils, diffusers? Lol knowing cheeba he'll probably be like "yup" lol -

Congrats to Sean for defending his honor, sobriety and principle in the quest for that damn glass. Who knows what nasty, several-headed mashup type beast lives at the center of the Arc Light labyrinth. But clearly it was part of a nefarious, some might even say poorly considered marketing campaign, to make people run around get all thirsty then say have a beer for a dozen dollars. Also I bet the guy who sold Sean the non-brewski probably drank it himself because bartenders all have computer bosses now that "measure" their pours and make drinking less of a fun game to make the guy like you to get more later on. Drinking is all business now. And Sean ain't playing. Was it worth the hassle, for the glass or for the movie? Probably not. As a bottle episode side-caper? Absolutely. 10/10, would trap Sean in a collectible consumer nightmare again.- 260 replies

good lord. this is too too precious by a mile. here are some general life rules you can follow to have a nice time: you don't need to make it a gag to have nice hugs with your friends. you're allowed to hug. you don't need to take photos of the hugs you're having. you certainly don't need to showcase the photos of the hugs on the internet. if you're gonna get up on someone, and it's the thing everyone's doing, and 'the guy behind me pushed me', now is the chance to escape the dreaded Zona del Amigos just relax and join our cosmic vibe, friend -

wagwan y'all. coming to you live from center ice with this week's handbook sports update. on wednesday hayes and the new york rangers - representing handbook east - hosted sean and the chicago blackhawks - representing handbook central. *note: sean opts for the traditional canadian spelling while hockeying Hayes scored first among wolfcool hosts on the ice with a wicked one-timer deep into the second period. Sean responded in style with practically the same shot, a cross-ice center pass, one-timer in the 4 hole, tying the game in the third. Here's the box score with that sweet data, you nerds Obviously the lamestream sports media is obsessed about the rookie Panarin's first NHL hat trick. And believe me, he's the real deal. But among podcast hosts it was an even tie with one goal each. Respectable, knowing they held back in the spirit of sportsmanship. With these teams playoff bound, one thing is for sure: wolfcool is bound to get even more wolfcold Reporting live. Back to you in the studio -

if retaining sanity is the slow, desperate trek through the dry desert mesas and deep glacial canyons of my emotional american southwest, surely Sean and Hayes are shamanistic apparitions, guiding me along this elusive, esoteric path. tricksters, speaking through the ether, spinning fever dreams of car wraps, earwolf men, baby grandpas, teen popes. but equally they are truth warriors, revealing the dark hearts and seedy proclivities of the ghouls which stalk me - skellingtons, engineers, scuzz men, sprite foxes. story monsters and joke beasts. or maybe it's all just another thirsty mirage and it's just me and ol' lowly brett, my trusty pack mule. easy, brett. easy there boy. there you go. that's a mule. -
