Ok, I was going a bit crazy that no-one brought this up in the episode, although it's entirely possible it was mentioned and I just missed it.
Does no-one else see that BIM is just IBM re-arranged? Like the writers just chose a conglomerate and made the minimum effort necessary for them not to be sued. It just speaks to the sheer laziness of the writing and worldbuilding of this movie.
