  1. I am not a graphic designer, obvious in the pic below, but here's a stab at a shirt or poster for the film. Is there a way to include the pic in this post if it's on imgur? This is above my skill level. http://imgur.com/a/tm7GG

    Bad Halloween Movies!

You win. Just make October all Wes Craven. I loved Swamp Thing, People Under the Stairs and Shocker as a kid.

    Zyzzyx Road (2006)

Jason Lee is one who turned down Sizemore's role. I read that the lead actor is the one who liked Sizemore.

    Zyzzyx Road (2006)

Not only did this movie only make double digits at the box office, most likely from Heigl and her husband, it looks like something quickly made for Syfy. Additionally, it was so unseen that there are no critic reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Heigl totally sucks as an actress and it's nice to see this on her permanent record. Also great: Tom Sizemore and his assistant were arrested during production because they failed drug tests...while on probation. Sizemore was released, but his assistant? Oh no, he had a warrant out for child pornography distribution. At least the DVD is clawing back some of the budget expense!

    Bad Halloween Movies!

    1. Nightbreed 2. Multiple Hellraiser films in one epic live episode 3. Night of the Demons 4. Multiple Amityville films amongst the nearly 20 in the series I'm sure there's some worthy garbage in this list, though I'm not sure how Lost In Translation landed in Halloween-themed films. https://www.wikiwand...round_Halloween

    Night of the Comet (1984)

This movie looks amazing. It might actually be too good/entertaining for the crew. However, if they do tackle it, I hope it's a live show with someone like Jessica St. Clair or Paul F. Tompkins as the guest. I think June would get a kick out of the wardrobe and hair execution.

    Orca (1977)

The poor man's Jaws, which I admittedly kind of like because killer whales are rad. I think this is a solid choice for the crew to tackle. Is the kid from Free Willy available to be the guest host? He knows orcas.

    The Cell (2000)

This movie came out when I was in college. I remembered thinking it was decent and started watching it a couple weeks ago when I saw it listed in the on-demand movies. I didn't make it five minutes before turning it off. I think I switched over to Dr. Moreau, which felt like an improvement.

    Millennium (1989)

I watched this again last night. At first, I'm thinking, "wow, this show is just impossibly stupid." As the movie went on, I'm thinking, "wow, this show is impossibly stupid, but I can't stop watching." I definitely paid more attention to the idiotic quotes, their poor delivery and weak character chemistry. There are some outstandingly bad quotes. It's worth watching just to hear these gems. Your mother was a cash register! You're the best thing in a thousand years, Bill. We scientists should get out of the lab more often; we might learn something! Bill Smith: The first rule is: Never sleep with anyone who's crazier than you are. I don't know if you're crazier, but you're right up there on the top 10 of my weird list, lady. Louise Baltimore: If you knew me better, I'd be number one.

    Guardians (2017)

With any luck, China's "Empires of the Deep" will finally see the light of day next year. It would fit nicely with these Russian swings and misses. At the very least, these foreign productions are ambitious. http://forum.earwolf.com/topic/36563-empires-of-the-deep-tbd/page__hl__empires__fromsearch__1

It has Barry Pepper on the cast. What could go wrong?

"Twins" Starring Joe Manganiello and Jason Mantzoukas

Even though Schwarzenegger and DeVito have slightly similar looks, I'm on board with this proposal with two who look like they could actually be brothers. Nicely done. If you want to do a version with Paul, it could have The Mountain from Game of Thrones as the massive brother with a funny accent.
  14. I about shat watching this video. For one, with that diet and "life", she can't be alive now. I mean, cholesterol aside, she's probably inhaling nasty fumes from those masks. And if she did live long enough to realize that she'd wasted years and thousands of borrowed dollars on TNMT stuff, surely she offed herself. Second, how the hell do you spend $5k on karate lessons and only make it to blue belt? She must be really bad. And yeah, her family is a bunch of assholes (brother comparing her to a pet), but they're total enablers.
  15. I was going through the back catalog and listened to this one. Amidst the 9/11 references and June not thinking the turtles at all resemble turtles, there was discussion of Vanilla Ice's "song", "Ninja Rap". They talked about how he allegedly didn't rip anyone off like he did with Queen. This one isn't as blatant, but consider me skeptical. I listened to Ice's "song" and during the walk down memory lane, something struck me as oddly familiar. While it doesn't have the same theft as Ice did with the bass line from "Under Pressure", take a listen to "Ninja Rap" and then check out Sugarhill Gang's "Apache" for comparison. Even if he didn't swipe "Go Ninja" from the Knicks, this makes his two biggest hits extremely unoriginal ripoffs of good songs. Sampling? Sure, but he sucks as an artist. Ninja Rap Apache More bullshit from a bullshit movie.

    The Ice Pirates (1984)

I wish I had your cable provider back then. At that time, I think I was watching nothing but Schwarzenegger, Stallone and James Bond films. Sadly, I just saw Big Trouble in Little China for the first time earlier this year.

    Predestination (2014)

Also a lot of Jason's "what is happening?" would be expected.

    X-Men: Age of Apocalypse (2016)

I like it, though my favorites of his had less focus on teens and more on adult angst: Mr. Mom, Vacation and Christmas Vacation, The Great Outdoors & Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Combine the teen angle with Magneto and Professor X in the elder roles, with the latter facing personal bankruptcy on his mutant school.

    X-Men: Age of Apocalypse (2016)

I read comics as a kid, but haven't gotten into the perpetual cycle of superhero films. I have seen one X-Men film. I saw Days of Future Past when home sick from work. I thought it was good and piqued my interest in sometime watching the others. However, reading this thread makes me want to not watch them, even if the earlier films are good, because I know disappointment looms. Those GIFs from ElieB are all I need to see from this one. Thanks, team.

    Stealth (2005)

RT consensus: "Loud, preposterous, and predictable, Stealth borrows heavily and unsuccessfully from Top Gun and 2001." Roger Ebert commented that the film was "a dumbed-down Top Gun crossed with the HAL 9000 plot from 2001." I haven't seen the film, but this sounds perfect.
  22. Ok, so maybe this is over the line and might get me banned for life, but I was thinking that one of these movies could possibly have been the spark and catalyst for June & Paul's conception of their first child. I mean, how could this not be the case? (If this is covered in a later episode, forgive me. I'm only ~halfway through.) Per Wikipedia (always accurate), Gus was born April 30, 2014. By my calculation, that would put actual conception around late-July/early-August 2013. Here are the possibilities which lit that baby-making fuse. They're the ones most likely based on date. Tough to say which would have been most...influential, if you know what I mean. Some details on each's candidacy and rationale. Demolition Man (July 9) Parenthood is a brave new world Sexy outfits Sexy, graphic "sex" scene Dr. Cocteau Seashells! Would require late delivery after due date Sharknado (July 16) Sharks! Importance of Family Would also require late delivery slightly after due date Over the Top (July 30) Importance of Family Bull Hurley "What I do is I just try to take my hat and I turn it around, and it's like a switch that goes on. Would be right time per due date Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles (August 13) โ€‹Crocodile wrestling The tooth hat Importance of Family His name is August Would require delivery just before due date Oh, and flash forward...June and Paul announced in March 2016 that they're expecting kid #2. I don't know the due date, but looking at the later-2015 movies...it had to be the Star Wars Holiday Special. No question. Good luck, and congrats, June and Paul. I have two kids about two years apart and it's bonkers.
  23. Fun take on good old Tommy. I just saw this video parodying him and hypothesizing about if he were to direct Batman. The actor's voice is perfect. Maybe he should have been cast to play Tommy in The Masterpiece instead of James Franco.

    Very Bad Things (1998)

Interesting. I haven't seen the movie, so I can't picture it. When I was thinking about films she's been in, her Vanilla Sky character was the first one that stood out as what might be her real-life persona.

    Caddyshack II (1988)

I was nine years old when this piece of shit came out. My parents took me to see it in the theater and I thought it was garbage even then. Probably because they were foolish enough to let me watch the first one as an even younger child, so my mind was already programmed. "Ahoy polloi!"
