    Episode 206 - Little Italy

Hayden has a history of being in movies where the younger version of his character has way more chemistry with the younger version of the female lead than his version of the character does with the adult version of the female lead.
  2. Local references get you local work.

Episode 203 - Perfect Stranger: LIVE!

Subtext of that interview between Bruce and Halle is that he moved out of his house next to hers prematurely so she couldn't keep pressuring him into appearing in any more terrible movies with her.

Episode 203 - Perfect Stranger: LIVE!

Both movies have someone landing Raebok as a client, so I'd assume the turkey sandwich Bruce is staring at is the character from On the Line,

    Episode 197 - Beastly: LIVE!

This was made two years after the Beauty and the Beast with Estella Warren which was, uh, not 100% successful. There really have been a crazy number of adaptations of this story.

    Episode 197 - Beastly: LIVE!

By coincidence, Jenny Nicolson just did a video on this movie:
  7. So, this came out a year after Gymkata, a movie where a gymnast whose father is "killed" during the opening credits and the son is tasked with taking over the father's mission. I guess they didn't like the result of having a proper gymnast in the role instead of an actor, so they put in a Stamos. Note: I guess this puts an end to any delusion that the hosts pore over the recommendation forums looking for suggestions, since this movie was recommended in 2012 and Paul had never heard of it until recently. ;)

    Episode 194.5 - Minisode 194.5

That sure was an odd review of Jurassic World. Seemed like mostly two minutes of static.

    Episode 188.5 - Minisode 188.5

Adrian Paul was the TV series Highlander.

    Episode 183 - Ladybugs: LIVE!

Great Balls of Fire, a song by a guy who married his 13 year old cousin is featured in a movie which plays with pedophilia as a joke? Yep: Checks out.

    Episode 181 - Freejack: LIVE!

"Hmm -- So Jagger tries to 'bonejack' Emilio, but he gets free? What should we call that sort of person?" "No idea. No word seems to present itself to describe anyone who got free while being jacked." "Huh. So, why bonejack again?" "Portmanteau of bone and hijack." "And bone?" "Because they'd otherwise be dead and buried. They'd be nothing but bones." "That's what a wraith is. That's what a wraith is." "That's not what a wraith is. A wraith is kinda like a ghost and nothing like a dragon -- Unless it's the ghost of a dragon, I guess. I do enjoy your confidence, tho." "I think my aunt had a Faberge Egg. No, sorry -- I meant she wore Tigress by Faberge, but she still smelled of eggs. My mistake."

    Episode 181 - Freejack: LIVE!

"I couldn't make heads nor tails out of those foot statues." "Well, no, you don't have the right body parts for either of those things."

    Episode 181 - Freejack: LIVE!

I mean, we all know that a Wraith is just a dragon that hatches from a Faberge egg. It's simple science. And that's why Charlie Sheen rode one in that movie.
  14. Obscurus Lupa has a bunch of good reviews to the sequels to this movie: She also reviews all 16 (so far) Witchcraft movies as well as Subspecies.
  15. Also, in his scariest role, the Templar Lucas de Beaumanoir, in Ivanhoe.
  16. I know what Jason means about the audacity of starting your movie series with a 1 movie. I can't believe the makers of Capricorn One thought that would work. I mean, c'mon guys: It's been decades and Capricorn Two hasn't seen the light of day.

Episode 179 - Second Sight: LIVE!

Quick correction: Patricia Resnick was the writer of the film, and she retained the services of the psychic that served as technical advisor. She's not the psychic herself as Paul had stated.

    Episode 178.5 - Minisode 178.5

To me, what I most remember Second Sight for is the fact that, leaving the parking lot after watching it, my friend drove the car straight into the concrete base of a light. Somehow with it being dark and rainy and the base being painted dark brown, he totally didn't see it. Nothing to do with the movie, of course, which was mostly dumb.
  19. "Imagine if, at the end of Sixteen Candles, a character from a movie that hasn't been made yet, but features the same lead actress, shows up and announces that if she doesn't pick him in their movie, he'll then evil in another movie, but one that she's not even in, so why would it matter to her anyway."
  20. A lot of people don't understand what would happen to a human exposed to the vacuum of space, beyond the obvious death part, but Jason's version was a new one on me. You'd certainly asphixiate and if you tried to hold your breath, you'd damage your lungs. You absolutely wouldn't implode because that's the opposite of the pressure you'd experience. But you wouldn't explode, either. You wouldn't freeze instantly, either, although your body heat would gradually radiate away, but you'd be dead long before that became an issue. If you were rescued fast enough, you'd probably survive and heal up. Originally, the go back in time ending was intended for the second movie, which is why they needed another way to make Lois unlearn his secret. Of course Superman's primary power is the ability to just suddenly pull new powers out of his ass whenever he needed them, so amnesia kisses is perfectly in line with that.

    Episode 177.5 - Minisode 177.5

A movie about people foreclosing on a bank can be a real life story. I think they covered something like that on The Daily Show or one of the spinoffs.

Episode 176 - The Jazz Singer: LIVE!

Probably should've been called The "Jazz" Singer. The quotes make all the difference. Just like it should've been The "Karate" Kid for the Kung Fu remake. Or, you know, just not made. Both work.

Episode 176 - The Jazz Singer: LIVE!

The Simpsons captured this story better in a 22 minute episode and Krusty the Clown than this movie did.
  24. Wil Dride

    Episode 175.5 - Minisode 175.5

So strange that they made a movie out of that Krusty episode of The Simpsons. Especially since they changed to be about jazz singer who doesn't sing jazz, instead of being about a clown like in the original source material.

    Episode 174 - Jason X: LIVE!

There's a set of after market novels based on Jason X written by Nancy Kirkpatrick. So, that's a thing that exists -- Apparently.
