    Radio Flyer (1992)

I walked in when my mom was watching the end of this, when the kid flew away. I thought for sure it was meant to represent his death by abuse. My mom was very upset by that interpretation. I guess she passed the Rorschach Test. Magical realism, man

    Velvet Goldmine (1998)

Glam rock star Brian Slade (Jonathan Rhys Myers) plays a character on stage named Maxwell Demon who predicts his death on stage. Shortly after he announces his prediction, he fakes his own death and is exposed as a fraud. A decade later in 1984, a reporter and former fan, Arthur Stuart (Christian Bale), tracks down the former rocker to do an article on his life and downfall. Arthur interviews the man who discovered Slade and a peer (Ewan McGregor) to understand Slade's motivations. This was the movie to see in high school. It didn't matter that the trailer promises a mystery and it's two hours of nonsense. It's fake Bowie and glitter and just terrible. Why is Christian Bale's face so shiny?

    For Richer or Poorer (1997)

This was probably proposed as Witness but funny. Although I remember liking this as a kid. There are definitely worse Tim Allen movies.
