  1. I still don't understand why sexy ghost's fiance gave him the "blessing" of coming back for 12 days of Christmas every year. And she must have done it after she died? Unless they found Mr Sexy Rum Runner out dead in the snow and then she (for some reason) wished he could experience the the 12 days leading up to Christmas over and over until ... some lesson happened? I also enjoyed St Clair yelling at Jason that they needed to stop screaming during the episode when they got too excited.

    Episode 219.5

I went to a place in Connecticut that served 'New England Poutine' which meant they replaced the gravy with New England Clam Chowder. It was...an odd mouth experience.
  3. They say the happiest days as a boat owner is the day you buy your boat and the day you sell it, so I have to assume she was that excited when she first got the boat. More to your point, insurance is specifically designed to return you the value of the property that was lost ie 'make you whole' but maybe Carrie Fisher wasn't paying attention to the valuation of her boat when she paid the insurance premium? Or maybe she had that insurance that covers the cost of replacement rather than the value of the original property?
  4. As someone who can't enjoy The Office due to extreme second hand embarrassment for Michael, this movie was a nightmare for me every time Fred got Pheobe Cates in trouble.
  5. Tall's kids may run around a flaming house in ill fitting pajamas, but they will be cruising around town in a car that is both safe and stylish.

Same. Bring back 80/90's action movies. Surprise us with a gem like Miami Connection. Anything but this.

    Episode 218 - Deadfall (w/ Chelsea Peretti)

Loved the underwear talk on this episode. I admit I did a double take when she got out of bed in the morning and was already wearing her comfortable undies. Given the amount of boobs we'd seen, I assumed bare ass or thong. Maybe the panties were on the whole time and that explains the weird sex seen where he just lies there and she kind of shifts a little back and forth? Least enthusiastic dry humping ever.

    Episode 218 - Deadfall (w/ Chelsea Peretti)

Maybe it's called Deadfall because he fell for his dad being dead? (Which was a kind of a trap...)

    Episode 187 - Beautiful Creatures

I think only a literal underground railroad would fit in with the subtle nature of this film.

    Episode 187 - Beautiful Creatures

I bet Netflix or Amazon could have made a killer mini series rather than a confusing movie out of Beautiful Creatures.

    Episode 186.5 - Minisode 186.5

This movie type goes straight to my inner curmudgeon: - You can't fall in love with someone you've known for 3 days! - High schoolers can't be in love (even if you've known the person more than 3 days). <- This one I know many can debate, but I think that you can start a life long relationship in high school that turns into love as you grow into the people you will be as adults.

On a scale of 1 - Monster Trucks, how would you rate this movie? And is the book good?

    Episode 186 - Geostorm: LIVE!

Couple of thoughts: - Watching in subtitles, the daughter caught a Lyft, not just a lift when leaving her dad to go back to mom. Hope Lyft didn't pay too much for that nearly invisible product placement. - Maybe things exploded so spectacularly because lithium ion batteries became the standard? - At the end, I was waiting for Ute and Jake to try to kiss via bonking their helmets together Finally: - This movie felt like it wanted the emotional pull of Armageddon or Apollo 13 but couldn't pull off any emotional attachment to any character (except maybe Cheng and stereotypical sassy black millenial)

Also, we've developed an entire new generation of satellites and other tech, but still ride the same shuttles into space from the 1980's? PS- "Packing for Mars" is an amazing book. My favorite part was describing people testing space toilet prototypes by going up in the Vomit Comet and having to poop in the brief period of weightlessness on the descent.

    Episode 186 - Geostorm: LIVE!

My question with that scene has a few parts: 1. Bad guys were tracking the President and that's how they knew where and what to shoot, but what was the tracker? They could have cut the shower scene earlier just to have the President say something like "Oh crap, my phone has a tracker. That's how they found us under the highway in the middle of this pre-geostorm." 2. How did the three 'heroes' loop around and beat their car to the bad guys? 3. Why is the President even in on the takedown? If he dies in the takedown, bad guy gets to be President and it's his word against two crazies who kidnapped the (original) President. Mission accomplished. Slightly related: How fast can cars drive in reverse?

How could Paul have not connected Johnny Mnemonic to this episode?

    Episode 184.5 - Minisode 184.5

I have this too! Glad I'm not alone. I love watching Midsomer Murders but have no idea who anyone but a couple of the characters are. (Though one time the bad guy was in fact an identical twin to someone else, so even a stopped clock is right twice a day and all that...)

Episode 184 - Johnny Mnemonic: LIVE!

The fact that Merriam-Webster's added 'dumpster fire' to the dictionary means we are (metaphorically at least) headed right towards the dystopian future trope that Jessica St Clair rails against. From NPR: "But we, as a dictionary, are not looking in real time. We are kind of a lag indicator, in financial terms," he [Merriam-Webster editor-at-large Peter Sokolowski] explains. "We are really interested in the terms that are here to stay, that we are very unlikely to ever take away from the dictionary." https://www.npr.org/...e-to-dictionary

Episode 184 - Johnny Mnemonic: LIVE!

Did Shrek 2 have any Smashmouth songs on the soundtrack? Did Jessica St Clair actually listen to the original Shrek soundtrack over and over? Also, I couldn't hear the reveal that made everyone scream at the end. Can anybody help me out?

That woman outside the changing room went down like a fainting goat.

    Episode 183 - Ladybugs: LIVE!

Chester's reaction after the game to her peace offering is just more proof that he and the Ladybugs were not the good guys.

    Episode 183 - Ladybugs: LIVE!

I'm still confused why adding butterflies to the soccer ball got Chu focused on the game and unlocked her skill. I know that she liked butterflies but, as far as I know, butterfly collectors don't collect them by kicking them (or feel any real animosity towards butterflies).

    Episode 183 - Ladybugs: LIVE!

Anyone know how many girls were actually on the team? It seemed like eleven, but then how did they bench the boss's daughter? I mean, when she was kicked out of the game, she went to sit on an empty bench.

    Episode 183 - Ladybugs: LIVE!

Were there shows in the early 90's that just showed girls in large underwear from behind? Certainly Chester didn't even consider Matthew's show to be worth noting (unless he couldn't think of a creepy enough joke).
