I rented it on my PS4, and it had the choppy slow motion. I assumed it was an artistic decision, although after seeing the whole movie, I can't be sure it wasn't incompetence.

Was Adrian Brody's character trying to kill the little kid because he was heir to the Roman Empire? I admit I was totally confused by just about everyone's motivations.

So they have 15 days to rebuild the fortress walls. The Romans decide that the quickest way to accomplish this is to chisel the damaged parts of the wall flat, forge metal to build cages, fill the cages with stones, then stack the cages and cover with cement. I’m no engineer, but that seemed unecessarily complicated.

Without the slow motion, this movie would have been 45 minutes long.

I’d have to say the star of the film was Adrian Brody’s wig. It had a real Mary Tyler Moore vibe. To quote June: Is this a movie?

I just assumed it was poisoned, because that seemed to be the least-stupid explanation.

There’s also a bad edit at 1:18:00ish where they took a cut of Stamos, on his back, kicking a bad guy to get his gun, then jump-cutting to a different shot with his stunt double on his back doing the kick-up to a standing position.
