  1. I did not watch it, but can see how a truly terrible non-movie could make for an even better pod and will trust you on this one. You’ve made a mortal enemy if you turn out to be wrong though!
  2. I feel that they’ve truly fucked us here. They didn’t like all the feedback from the Little Italy episode, were rubbed the wrong way by the classic Torontonian need to be recognized as notable outside of our own little world, and decided to just take us to the bone zone by saddling is with a ridiculous non-movie that we can’t even gain access to. This, despite my repeated pleas that they do Slumber Party Massacre II. I even promised to let Jason hold my baby if they did SPM2. I’m still going to attend, but will definitely leave the baby at home. Might bring my copy of SPM2 and give it to Paul. On second thought, it’s too valuable to me, but I would consider giving him the DVD case with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen inside.

Please, please, PLEASE do this one in Toronto in September!!!! I promise I will bring a huge contingent of fans and will have excellent questions/observations for when Paul goes into the crowd. I already have my tickets and will not be a balcony monster. I can even bring my 9 month old baby and let Jason hold her if it will help. PLEASE!!!!

Whoa, I just learned that there's a documentary on the entire SPM trilogy. The section that focuses on this complete gem can be found here: https://tubitv.com/tv-shows/295880/s01_e16_sleepless_nights_revisiting_the_slumber_party_massacre_ii

I'm a long-time listener and have been dying for you guys to do this movie from the first time that I heard about the concept of this podcast. This movie is completely bonkers. I remember that the back of the VHS and some other promotional materials explained that the Driller Killer from the first film was back and "re-incarnated as an evil rocker," however, this is NEVER explained at all in the movie. Instead, we are just treated to possibly the most ridiculous slasher movie villain of all time. (Seen below wailing on his guitar/murder drill) Crystal Bernard from Wings is the main protagonist and she spends most of the movie playing in her mega-80's all-girl rock band and having stupidly trippy nightmares about the aforementioned Driller Killer. I don't want to spoil what I find to be the funniest part about this movie's lore, but I should mention that with just a little digging there are some very interesting things to be learned about the actor who played the Driller Killer. Anyways, here's a link to a very brief review of this movie that I felt touches on some of the reasons I feel it would be perfect for HDTGM: http://happyotter666.blogspot.com/2012/04/slumber-party-massacre-ii-1987.html
