Episode 227 - Double Dragon: LIVE!

I don't have much to say about the movie but I just want to plug how great Mark Dacoscos is in Brotherhood of the Wolf.

Episode 221. The Hottie and the Nottie

I remember having what I guess would have been a crush on my Kindergarten and 2nd grade teachers. First grade teacher was an old lady so that never would have worked out. I didn't really have a crush on a classmate until around 3rd grade.

Episode 221. The Hottie and the Nottie

I was getting this movie confused with that one where the girl is cursed and turns into Rob Schneider. And now I'm bummed out that there isn't a movie where Paris Hilton turns into Rob Schneider.
  5. Sorry for bumping a long dead thread but after listening to some old episodes I had got it into my head that Stargrove grew up and turned evil and became Mickey Rourke in Double Team. But it turns out that was Stavros. But I'm still not entirely sure how these shady intelligence organizations work so maybe they tweeked his name or something, I dunno.

    Episode 219.5

The only other warning I'd give for watching a Neil Breen movie is do not operate heavy machinery while watching one.

    Episode 219.5

I'm concerned people aren't going to be fully prepared for Neil Breen's Fateful Findings. For Paul, June, and Jason, and everyone else, please watch a trailer or something before diving right in so you have at least some kind of handle back into the sane world.
  8. I think one thing this episode has taught us all is that Ladyhawke MUST be covered in the near future. They've already done two of Paul's Superman movies. Got to cover all those bases now.
  9. A work of art is at it's best when it invites disagreement, discussion, and discernment. Therefore, Drop Dead Fred is the greatest work of art of the last 1,000 years.
  10. I think the only movie that could for real kill this podcast would be if they covered Ryan's Babe.
  11. I wanted to offer up a defense of the scene with all the imaginary friends. I think it could be explained away with Carl Jung's collective unconscious; that all the kids are sharing their friends like that, but they themselves can't see it because they are conscious. As for the end, when Fred goes to the other girl, I don't think there is an explanation. It's a flaw in the movie, that I think both sides agree it has flaws. The makers or studio wanted a dumb Hollywood sentimental ending and that's what they came up with. Anyways, I think this is a kid's movie (maybe 10-13, where they're old enough to remember being like, 5 but old enough to wonder what the heck it means to grow up.) I think it's important for kids to have a story with some horrific elements in it so they can see that they can be overcome. I'd be curious to see what kind of divisions sprang up if they covered Return to Oz.
