This movie came out when I was four and I watched it religiously as I had the dolls. It was happy, sad, terrifying, and traumatic all in one.

Episode 242.5 - Prequel to Episode 243

I have zero idea on how to respond to someone's comment, but to the awesome person who took a step back because they felt down, you are loved, your feelings are valid, and this group will be here for you. I will anyway. I work with some garbage people, and I use this group and podcast as my therapy. I listen all day long to the back catalog. This is what keeps me sane. I literally take 2 mg of Xanax at 9:00 am I am so stressed. Feel free to message me anytime and I will give you a great pep talk! It is one of my favorite things to do! -

I have not watched The Floor is Lava show, but I have played this game since high school. When I was 18 I attempted to carry a football player on my back across a high school basketball gym, I am 5' 2 2.5" and he fell on me with me landing on my chest. My back has never been without pain since. What a nightmare, but the show sounds fun! -
Top 5 movies for you personnally that they have not done yet

The Hugga Bunch Movie. This was a favorite toy of mine, and the movie, I remember, as being awesome, and extremely depressing. And a little scary, but I was four years old at the time. You can see it on YouTube. Did You Hear About the Morgans Watchmen (I could not stand the time I wasted on that movie) I will have to think about the last one... -
“How Are We Distracting Ourselves From Reality Now???” (Or HAWDOFRN, for short) chat/therapy group!

I am in The Horror Virgin Podcast group we are on FB and there is a new episode every week. It is hilarious. And we started a Book Club that goes with it. Right now we are reading The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires. We read The Troop last time. In May we will read a book that has been made into a movie or TV show, and June will be Blockbusters, so something maybe like Jaws. -

This is a great topic you set up! I know I can have lots of posts throughout the day, I hope no one minds. I am also in an online book club focused on horror right now. -
If you could have HDTGM come to the big city nearest you, where would it be and who would be your Dream Team Guests? For me, I would have them in Birmingham, AL at either The Lyric Theatre or The Alabama Theatre. My Dream Team would be Jason, June, Paul, Jessica St. Clair, Lennon Parham, and if I get to be in the audience, Adam Scott. I feel like Adam would not get to say much, but he would be gorgeous to watch try to speak. Also, I feel with this Dream Team, we would not get past the beginning if we go beyond the opening (credits) scene. I would give anything for that to happen.

Thanks!

Is there an episode with Jessica St. Clair and June on at the same time (other than when June was on Jury Duty)? I feel like they would take over, and I want to be in that group!

This morning I had the TV on while I worked from home and had the volume turned all the way down. I usually put it on a movie that I have seen, and let it play without the volume on so I can answer phones. It was left on the news, and it was so depressing. It was all about COVID-19, shootings, kidnappings, deaths, etc. I could not take it any more and I could not even hear it, and was not truly watching. I immediately texted my hair girl and told her that my hair had gotten long enough for a ponytail (!), and I needed to get it cut and colored my usual blonde with rose gold highlights as soon as possible. I told her I needed extra pink because I really, really need happy hair right now. -
Episode 237 — Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets
TheeCupcakeKid replied to Cameron H.'s topic in How Did This Get Made?
I was confused by this whole movie description, and to be clear I never saw it. I just remember seeing the trailer and thinking, "I bet this cost a ton of money." and they will never get it back. All I know is this. I want and need more Jessica St. Clair in my life. -
I Will Always Know What You Did Last Summer

I am going through the backlog now, and am not sure if this movie has been covered yet, but it has a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I watched about 5 minutes before I had to turn it off, while screaming, "My eyes! My eyes!" a la Phoebe Buffay. -
I am working through the entire backlog of HDTGM and I have so many things I want to discuss with someone. Is anyone else listening to the older episodes or starting at the beginning and have thoughts? Example, when Paul, June, and Jason discussed, "Where does the butt start," someone mentioned, "So Barbie has a uterus?" Well, she has a womb, I have the Midge doll that is pregnant with the magnetic womb with the infant inside. Also, it was said a man could not have a baby, but if you watch The Blacklist, I believe this season may have proved that wrong. Anyone else?

Episode 236 — The Great Wall (Live)
TheeCupcakeKid replied to Elektra Boogaloo's topic in How Did This Get Made?
I never paid attention to this when it came out other than knowing people were upset Matt Damon was in a staring role. I feel stupid because I thought this was some historical movie, even if it was historical fiction. Yeah. No. Not even close.
