  1. Great episode. And I'd like to think that Scott did a Calvin and Hobbes with Suicide House. Go out while you're still on top. Which makes me think we'll never see a Farts and Procreation 4. Paul Rust is hilarious, Dykula was a great idea, and the meta humor regarding Monster Fuck 2/Suicide House was amazing. CBB is really working hard to take the top spot back from I4H on my personal 'most hilarious podcast' rankings. Watch out, Besser!
  2. Great cast in this one. Lauren killed it. Lots of great callbacks, you guys were really in tune.

    Episode 8 Happening?

I hope everyone is just too busy writing their various TV projects to get together in the studio. I imagine Harris has had a lot going on with P&R, and of course Scott has CBBTV and their tour. Please don't let Analyze Phish be another podcast that Jeff Ulrich has decided to kill.* *Callback
  4. I find Matt's bullying to be hilarious. It's part of his charm. His lack of caring is why he's the best. He doesn't care if he hurts someone's feelings in the name of comedy. I don't think that is a bad thing, as long as you're not too much of a prick about it. I can't think of anything that has particularly offended me on this podcast. Matt's at his most contentious in Case Closed, which is why it's my favorite segment, and Matt's unique sensibility is why I4H is my favorite podcast, but I feel there's no doubt that Matt is a bully sometimes. That call Matt made a while back to a sort of mediator to judge whether he'd been excessive berating that homophobe, that shows that Matt is conscious of it and making an effort to be more tactful about it.
  5. I'd like Jeff to explain why Earwolf canceled 'The Norm MacDonald Podcast' after only 11 episodes. Norm is hilarious! Not to mention The Pod F Tompkast and Dead Author's Podcast. Come on, Earwolf, PFT is hilarious and don't give me any BS about how he's on CBB and DLM all the time! And why in the world would you cancel 'The History of Rome'? That podcast had more than a hundred episodes and was beloved! And don't even get me started on why I haven't seen any new Calvin and Hobbes in 18 years... Jeff! Clearly your failure to mention these specifically is just a hope to sweep them under the rug because you're jerks and don't want us to have things we love. For free.
  6. Oh also I do find it ridiculous to mock someone for drinking milk. I believe he's done it once before, so it's one of his things. That's like teasing someone because they eat lettuce or soup. That doesn't make it any less funny tho. Milk is to Besser as beastiality is to Gemberling. They all have their cross to bear.
  7. I don't think Matt realizes when he comes across that way. As evidence I suggest the whole "bullying" question in regard to Case Closed. He's been conscious of his bullying but has struggled to understand why people consider it bullying. So I imagine he knows that he is teasing the intern and doesn't realize (or acknowledge) that it sounds malicious to some. I would expect that when choosing his intern Matt would be smart enough to find one with thick skin, or at least advise them to not take any ribbing seriously. As in, Eric the Paid Intern, who was mocked constantly by Matt... I mean, it's the guy's job. So here's Matt who doesn't have a very good "meter" for knowing when he's going over the line, on his podcast, talking to his employee who has been told to expect to be teased. Maybe it's just me, but for me It's easy to see why some would see him as being a bully without Matt seeing it the same way. But maybe it's just me.
  8. I am shocked that I didn't comment on how hilarious that "Weebelos wobble but they don't fall down" line the first time around. Good stuff.
  9. Congrats on 100 episodes. Can't wait to see you hit 1000. Loved the analysis of the Tom Petty skit, hope there are more of those to come!
  10. Sorry Matt, I don't know anyone, I just live down the street. I'll fill out an item request. Or track the manager down on the street and do an intern-style interview with him.
  11. Matt, have you tried to get your book at Powell's Books? I bet you could get it on sale there, and they also do online sales. Great episode. I like the 17 year-old guy best, the girls-by-the-pool guy second best. Glad to hear they are going to do another assignment and keep it up. Looking forward to the competition going on.

Episode 119 — Live from Brooklyn / Habits

The best part of listening to these pre-recorded live shows is hearing the evolution of Name That Punky on the road. I remember when the live tour started, NTP was a new game, and I didn't expect it would be ubiquitous so quickly. When Kyle went nuts on the stage in Portland, I knew then that some crazy stuff must have gone down in the mean time. I'm glad I'm getting to hear it. Plus the gang in front of a crowd is just awesome.

    Episode 2 — Minisode: Comedy

I remember the first time I heard the Barton Fink joke, I thought it was funny because I knew it was a "boring" movie. Then years later, after seeing it, I heard the joke again and it was WAY more funny. I can only imagine their disappointment, then confusion, then serious wtf feeling of watching that movie when they were expecting sex and more straightforward horror. I've always felt guilty that I don't like Stripes and Animal House, I'm glad you brought that up. On the other hand, I love The Jerk which is basically the same era. I'd say Vacation and Fletch are the early movies on the "consistently funny" scale for me, and I was born in 1972.
  14. It's bad enough to hear transplants complaining about how it "rains all the time" here, but to hear an ex-Portlander saying it? Well. I mean, I guess if you love LA and live there, we do get more rain. But come on, it's beautiful here. Take that, comedian whose name I can't recall. But the Portland skit was hilarious and it is true, I am super pale. Also I was surprised at everyone's shock at the idea of "indoor recess." I mean, how isn't that a thing everywhere?

Episode 139 — Boring Kanye West

I agree with Gym Sockerman, nice work April! I imagine being nervous in any condition, but with both Howard and Matt in the room? They're both so great because each can be very blunt and socially inept, but that doesn't mean I'd want to be the third man in their act. Yikes. Nice work jumping in feet first.

    Episode 233 — Royal Watching

Two Andy Daly appearances in a week? AND Bob Odenkirk? You just refuse to let Improv4Humans become my favorite podcast, don't you CBB?

Episode 7 — A Crazy Moment in Phishtory

I've only made it through the first break but this is hilarious. Loved Scott asking if that guy's parents were high. And "cool story if it ends there." Good stuff. And thank you so much for keeping the music in very small pieces as I agree it is generally awful.
  18. On a re-listening tour, and this episode was a real highlight. Not just because of the awesome Case Closed or the subsequent controversy around it, but also some flat hilarious skits. "The History of Billfolds" was a great ending, but once again Paul Rust had one of the most hilarious lines when he called out his fellow human for the Triumph impersonation. Good times.
  19. I really enjoyed Gwinch's version of Romeo and Juliet. Another great episode, knew it would be when I saw the awesome guests.

Episode 228 — Acapella Cuddle Puddle

Don't know how I missed Scott's appearance as Ben Franklin on Dead Authors Podcast, one of my favorite elder statesmen portraying Ben Franklin! I can't wait to load that up. John Hodgman is hilarious as always, glad to hear Ice-T again, I thought he'd gone off with Bob Ducca and Li'l Gary on some weird adventure.

    Bob Ducca... RETURNS!!!

Thanks for sharing! I like DLM but haven't been able to get into the interruption, so this would have passed me by. Glad to hear Bob is still around, if you want to call it that.
  22. Loved the callbacks in the bonus episode. The lengthy discussion before the comedy kind of showed why it was cut, but the skit was hilarious and really would have fit well with the main episode. Wanted to comment on that ep directly but of course the thread there is a train wreck in which I do not want to get involved.
  23. +1 to Paul Rust's incredible Tom Petty's Beard twist. Has to be the most hilarious I4H skit ever. So funny! Overall a great episode and amazing line-up, any one of these three would make me excited about an episode, but all together it was a classic. Too bad it has all that beastiality, as I'd love to tell people who don't listen that this should be their intro. It really should, but as someone said when it came up that this would be a brutal first time listen for the uninitiated.

    Episode 220 — 4 PayDays & A Baby

Just checked the photos - spoiler alert - I can't wait to hear from open-door-policy drop-in-guest Utility Ladder. Should be the best CBB yet!
  25. My birthday is May 12. So while technically it's past midnight and the 13th, I'm going to consider F&P 3 to be the greatest birthday gift I have received this year. Thank you, Comedy Bang Bang! You beat out a fried chicken sandwich, an ice cream cone, several hugs, and a $50 check from my mom. Not combined, mind you, but on their own. I haven't listened yet, but there's no way Harris, Adam, and Chelsea will disappoint me on my birthday.
