  1. Welcome Shannon! Glad to have a real moderator on here now that the forums are so nice. I'm Rob. I go to school at Purdue University in Indiana (possibly the worst place on earth if you were unaware). Huge comedy fan, huge podcast fan. I am currently trying to get into the video production field, hopefully television. I'm also an aspiring standup but it's hard to find anywhere to go around here to do that. Glad to hear you'll be in the off topic section, it get's a little stagnant.

  2. I second Julia's plea to watch the league. I didn't bother watching it for so long because I just didn't care about football, especially fantasy. It is such an amazing show that nowadays, only has minor references to football it seems. It is an earwolf fans wet dream most episodes. More Tim Gunn please, make it work people.

  3. Really enjoyed this episode. I loved how many times Dave and Greg would ask or suggest something and kind of chastise Jeff. "Do you have a street crew...no?...What the hell." I definitely feel like Earwolf has the personal feel that they think is missing. If you listen to all the Podcasts, not just one, you get a better feel of it. We hear about Randy and Jason's kids, Jeff's baby on the way, Kulap and Scott's marriage etc. The wolf den itself is the best example of this, the thanksgiving episode was one of the most personal episodes of any show I have ever heard. Hearing from not just the hosts but EVERYONE behind the scenes actually humanizes the network more than something like just hearing Maron talk about his life. You can see how much Earwolf connects and is important to so many peoples lives.

  4. So I have been trying to use the amazon link every time I buy something off there. I notice that when I click the link from here, the Amazon page has an earwolf tag in the URL bar but when I go to find what I am looking to buy it seems to disappear. I assume it still counts the earwolf account but does anyone know if there is a way to see if it truly does on the receipt or order summary?

  5. SPOILERS

Did you not pay attention to any of the plot? The reason the million dollars is a big deal isn't that it's a million dollars, it belongs to the east coast mob, they steal it to get them out of their territory. If they don't get it back and kill the driver then it could get out that they were the ones that stole it, hence the need for the dummy robbery, Bryan Cranston has to die for the same reason. This goes right into your fifth point, the job was a setup and they just used this "schmuck" as a pawn that they knew they would kill. He owed them money and it just so happened that this was the one job that year that was a planned setup, Albert Brooks even says this. The rest of your concerns are all stylistic choices which I personally enjoyed, the jacket was supposed to be obvious, but a bit of an icon.

  6. This episode was fantastic. I was listening to it during a long drive and when David started talking about letting big trucks over, I was just at that moment letting a giant semi-truck pass. It was really weird, he also didn't thank me.
Also I understand where Kyle is coming from. The pool we went to when I was a kid had long locker rooms that you had to pass through. We always came prechanged and I always thought how weird it was that the older people were always just walking around naked. So yes I saw innocent adult penises as well.

  7. Awesome episode! Paul has been awesome in interacting with his audience, more so than probably anyone other than Jeff. I agree with Rutabaga, don't make the threaded comments. They work great on comments like he says but are weird and really mess with the flow of a board. I thought it was interesting that he brought up the NTSF:SD:SUV:: ads that ran on WTF. When those were on WTF I was so surprised I didn't hear any on Earwolf shows as well. I don't know if it was a conflict of interest or what, just seems like an obvious choice for advertising, maybe they don't want to invest where things will probably get plugged anyway?
