    Just a thought:
    - Perhaps the judges should consider not automatically assuming they are dealing with rank amateurs just because they are not familiar with the contestents' podcasts.
    - Sure, these contestants aren't exactly household names, but honestly, neither are some of the judges. They're all names in the comedy nerd world, but most don't go far beyond that.
    - Some of these podcasts have just started, true, but others have been around for a good while now and have sizable followings. Some are even bigger than some of the shows on Earwolf & MaxFun (according to iTunes rankings & Facebook fans).
    - Obviously, Earwolf is running the show, and there are many good reasons each of these contestants would want the chance to work with Jeff Ullrich & Scott Aukerman, but the host & judges need to stop treating the podcasters with anything less than the respect afforded to colleagues . . . remember, if the show has an existing fan base, that fan base is listening in, and you honestly insult all of us when you do that.

    As disappointing as this must have been for Tim & Tom, it might actually be better for "The Complete Guide To Everything" that they're out this early. In hindsight, their particular podcast had little to gain, and much to lose. It seemed Matt Besser was not prepared to accept that the title & tag line of the show were simple conceits; this was obviously a sticking point which would not have resolved itself even if given more time.

    Sure, it would have been nice for TCGTE to gain potential new listeners by being a part of Earwolf, but that being said, they are already doing well independently. "The Earwolf Challenge" undoubtedly gave them some valuable peer feedback, but I don't think it would have been advisable for them to chance alienating their existing fans by greatly altering a format which has worked thus far, just to meet the demands of this competition.

    Hopefully the winner of the Earwolf Challenge both deserves the victory, and finds an audience suited to their specific voice.

    While I think the Earwolf Challenge is a good premise for a podcast, I really would have expected Matt Besser to be a more engaging host. It might just be me, but although I am a fan of Matt's, he does come across a bit like a Department of Motor Vehicles clerk explaining for the billionth time how some snot-nosed teenager might go about applying for a learner's permit.

    That being said, I'll continue to listen . . . as long as T&T win.
