Great idea. Unfortunately my group doesn't have time to meet to play at all right now!

It's awesome when the only times the forums are recongized is for their negativity.

I think it was nice to see Bart be more agressive. Dude is a Dragonborn for cripes sake, he should be more bold. I played a Dragonborn Pally and while not as large or strong as a Giant, they can really hold their own.

I dread when a new person comes into a game, especially those who haven't played before. On the one hand it's nice that someone is taking an interest,on the other I just want to play the fricken game already! Anyway for a first timer fill-in he was pretty good with a "let's get this done" attitude. Putting on the robe was funny, but "Need before Greed", dude. And as far as stoners go, the stoners were the ones that played D&D in my school. It was one of the reasons why I wasn't able to play, I wasn't a stoner.

I ask because I recently bought the duo on XBox Live. I had fond memories of it from the arcade days (except it would really suck the quarters). It still holds up! The only weird part is in the sequel they added two character classes that go pretty far into the JRPG realm of character design, particularly the magic user who looks like he just stepped out of Final Fantasy. I always like a battle grid even when it's not needed just so I get a good visualization where everything is. It also helps players. I don't always use them when I run a game, but for notable battle scenes I try to have a map with some sort of figure tokens on it.

Yeah, that doc is disturbing because it's not just one person that thinks like that, it's a bunch of people. How can they justify a murder like that in their minds? Horrifying.

I'm hoping to start a new character that's a cleric that's convinced that goblins and trolls and all the "evil" races can be converted. It's going to be fun times. And annoying as hell for the other players. And agree on Brian's new character. Is he cleric? or a Necromancer?

Ahh I see. Plus, if you want to get it at it, what's the true nature of "evil"? Someone might have what others consider an evil agenda based on a point of view. Of course D&D is a world where a entire races can be labeled evil... which gets into weird discussions about racism.

Oh that old guy. Son of a bitch. Detect evil seems kind of like an overpowered power. Can you even attempt to fool the players with a bad guy pretending to be good? That doesn't seem fun. Double crosses are the best!

The trick is getting at least one other person to try it out. Most people tend to like it after they try it if they're at least a little nerdy. We managed to get a group of three that eventually became 5.

Maybe the person doing the descriptions and title didn't listen all the way through?

I'd buy the crap out of Nerd Poker branded D20s. It might be easier to make Nerd Poker dice bags though.

Argh what a tease. Still not to the old man. So close, yet so far away. On a side note: My grandfather loved Worthers, mini-snickers, and ginger snaps.

Yeah I was sad when bit didn't show up. I think I'm one of the few people that loved Legacy. One other part that was a let down in that movie was when Sam goes into the computer we didn't see any cool computerized transition sequence like in the original film.

Silly Lacy has said it better than I could have.

Can anyone wear it? It would be enormous. Maybe the Dragonborn could fit into it.

*Spoiler for Next Show* I hope we all learned a lesson here. Ask for more forward progression and a character dies. We have nobody to blame but ourselves here.

I find this movie enjoyable for how cheesy bad it is. One of those films that if it's on TV on a Saturday afternoon I'm down for it.

"Like when Dinty More died." Brilliant. SPOILERS! Man, what a way to go. Falling off a rope. I was just hoping he'd go out in battle and not from a freak accident. At the very least, there's those dudes hooked up to tubes that could potentially show up as a new character.

1. Pretend you know what you're doing. 2. Never admit that you don't know what you're doing. 3. Be flexible. 4. Don't lead players by the hand. I write up everything before hand, because I'm anal. I try to guess what the players might do and write up a brief paragraph in response to that. I also have all the stats for all the NPCs handy.

I've only ever played 4th. I like that you feel like a badass at level 1 (cuz of all the powers and what not) but damn does the game drag sometimes. A simple encounter can take far too long. But it's the only one my DM will play right now, so that's what I have to go with.

Also, I have to add that anyone who thinks the team isn't getting enough done, last weekend I played Call of Cthulhu for 4 hours. The first 3 hours we didn't see a single monster or do any fighting. It was 3 hours of going to libraries, asking people questions, researching monsters, buying weapons, etc. ect. It still was pretty fun, but I'd feel bad for anyone that would have been listening to us. That would have been 3 episodes of agony before the 4th ep which was some crazy shit. I have the feeling that it's going to get pretty crazy for the Nerd Poker crew very soon.
