  1. WHAT THE HELL DID ANY OF THAT HAVE TO DO WITH SCIENCE!! UURRGGHHH!!!

No but thanks to Kyle for having so many ridiculous awful stories about himself, it totally makes me feel better about also being terrible at everything. It's nice to know that every painful mistake made today will just make for great podcasts tomorrow.

"I didn't date a girl til I was 24" and "I dated a stripper for 6 months by accident" is obviously really funny NOW, and at the time I'm sure it was hilarious to everyone else, but yeah it's a difficult thing to actually be that person, and for a long time it's not funny at all. So yeah I just thought someone should say thanks for that!

(I'm not avoiding Tig's whole thing, it's just... what could I possibly say about cancer? Y'know?)

    Also great cast!

  2. It's so funny that these guys dropped "Steampunk" again as a style people walk around in, like they're super up to date or something.

No-... guys... Steampunk is a word you'd use if you were like... a prop designer on Firefly. Or Back To The Future 3. Or if you were writing a book. It's like an outlandish type of sci-fi where you put something in the 1800's, but give it some amazing machinery. The giant robot spider in Wild Wild West with Will Smith is steampunk, and some stuff in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and the time machine in The Time Machine. That's why it came up last episode when Emily Gordon mentioned Comic-Con, cos it's like a costume thing that exists in comic books and videogames. It's not a thing in real life.

But I kind of hope they don't read the comments to see if it comes up again next week lol

Also that was a funny show.

  3. As soon as she said "It's not that I don't like Honda, I just don't like the word" I immeadiately thought "My answer would be I thought we were talking about E.Honda from Street Fighter."

AND THEN SHE USED THAT JOKE A SECOND LATER! So weird when that happens with podcasts.

WOW sponsored by Pepsi! Hello big leagues!!!

  4. I think it's really funny that David is a good runner, but not necessarily a FAST runner. He's just good at it.

You guys are #1. Tig is back AGAIN, which I like.

I read that as "You guys are hash-tag: one!".

I definately get terrible self-esteem from my parents, I bet everyone does. My parents are super normal folk, and anything that's not a regular 9 to 5, watchin football, readin the paper is like why are YOU so weird and why are you doing this WRONG and criticizing everything that's not completely dull as being stupid and a waste of time.

Tig and Kyle's one man show sounds funny. Bo Burnham has a thing where he explains how the left side and the right side of the brain think where he plays 2 versions of himself, and that was funny.

  5. I was waiting to see how they'd dress up the characters, and it's pretty funny that the answer is just "nope!".

The part where Reggie went missing and it blended from an interview show to a FICTIONAL SHOW ABOUT AN INTERVIEW SHOW was pretty great. Y'know, like Studio 60, but dumb.

These are all the crazy parts, but I hope every episode starts with some amount of straight-face. Cos that's what makes CBB funny, that you think it's a normal show until Scott falls victim to his own open-door policy.

Which--... I would really like if there was an actual door there.

The celebrity advice segment was perfect!

The line "We'll be right bark" was also perfect!

  6. Brilliant. The best characters on CBB use "less is more" philosophy; Jessica and Lennon brought so much depth and silliness. Maybe it will get me into trouble for saying this, but: more like this and less PFT. (I'm getting some serious PFT fatigue.)

I think a better way to bring this up would just be to say "Let's have more believable, grounded characters that spin out of control, instead of characters that show their hand right as they enter the room." without pinning it on PFT or anyone- cos he's always great at what he's doing.

And I agree it's a super funny style of character!

I also never much considered incorporating the evaluation strategy of mustard or pants into my everyday life, but this guy might have convinced me.

I WAS DIEING FOR HIM TO SAY PANTS!

  7. GREAT SHOW!!

From like the first couple minutes I thought Lennon Parham's boring teacher voice was great, and then that only made the actual character even funnier when she turned out to be a goddamn maniac.

Jessica St. Clair fantastic as per usze' (this is a short-hand for "as usual"), Comedy Bang Bang rulz.

(the names are links cos I'm copy-pasting them, I don't know who anyone is outside of Earwolf)

Also lol when I actually went to wompupthejams.com
