Episode 204 — The Pepper Men

Is this going to be the episode where Scott finally makes fun of Zach's weight?
  2. Adomian's PSH held the accent fairly well even when he was loud (the exception was the "-at" vowel, when he went full Jesse Ventura), but he brought in too much gravel. Maybe it's just me, but, for me PSH isn't a gravelly guy. I enjoyed how hard Lapkus leaned into the teen boy put-upon voice. Scott continues to be the best commercial reader/performers in all of podcastingdom and perhaps the most loveable host to boot. I thought it was solid enough but the cuss words let a little to much air out of it comedically. To me they almost always come off as a crutch in musical comedy.

    Episode 115 — Bizarro

You, me and H-Dub are so right to feel that way. We get it because we're better human beings.

    Episode 114 — Surfing Rainbows

"The Steve-O that I met today is a great guy, a three-dimensional guy with a lot of great qualities" - Howard Kremer, WC-114 "We did a great show, in my opinion, earlier this week on Who Charted, with Steve-O" - Kulap Vilaysak, TC-53 Speaking of being hypocritical, I couldn't help but notice that a bunch of peeps who're railing at Steve-O for not paying enough attention to Wie and Ku also didn't pay enough attention to Wie and Ku themselves or they would have noticed that Wie and Ku were having an absolute ball with this week's guest. Yup, this was me too. I don't think I ever watched an entire episode of Jackass, nor either of the movies or spinoff shows so I went into the episode a little half-heartedly regarding the guest - even moreso once his foghorn TJ Miller-on-meth of a voice started blasting into my ears - but he slowly won me over as it became clear that: 1.) Wie and Ku were having a ball. 2.) Contrary to my previous opinion of him he's actually a fairly thoughtful, good-hearted and humble dude. Clearly I'm not saying he's a genius or a saint, but he's at least significantly more than just the meathead narcissist I'd previously mistaken him for. 3.) His stories are better than any other guest I can remember. 4.) The half hour before getting to the music chart was made up of the kind of stuff which is always covered in the third chart, so the script was nicely flipped and even though we didn't get the usual goose or a pinada or whatevs. 5.) He's as new-age loopy as our beloved Wie and Ku, and like them he's self-aware enough to make fun of himself for it too. I really hope he makes a return appearance someday and feels a little less pressured to "perform". His overtalking and interuptions seemed born of a mixture of out-of-control enthusiasm and of being so used to having to drive interviews because most interviewers who would talk to a guy like Steve-O don't bring anything to the table. The funniest part of the episode was maybe when, ironically, it was Steve-O himself who got the show back on track by announcing the arrival of Numberrrrrrrr One on the movie chart.

I love this but you can't call it Analyze Fish because sharks are mammals.

    What You're Listening To

That honesty of his has got him in trouble a couple of times but it's also what makes him so lovable to me. It's a shame he can't get his XO shows out more often because he's pretty damn good at them.

Unfortunately the tickling causes an attack of the hiccups so powerful it hiccups you out of heaven all the way back down to Earth.

    Jeff Q&A

I think Nick's idea would be awesome too and Matt Besser should be the host. Because, speaking of awesome, he was awesome as host of The Earwolf Challenge. My favourite part of that show was hearing his expert understanding of comedy and performance awesomely applied to the entries submitted by the contestants.

Dear Jeff, Is it gauche to "like" one's own posts on the Earwolf forum? Love, Bucho

    Jeff Q&A

Dear Jeff, Have you considered doing Ask Jeff as a podcast? Because; (1) The world could do with more of your dulcet tones, (2) I miss hearing you talk about the ins and outs of running Earwolf since Wolf Den has been on hiatus, (3) you might feel more like expanding on some answers if you didn't have to do all this pesky typing, (4) typing can lead to conditions such as RSI and spontaneous combustion and (5) I've never learned to read. Peeps could post questions here or do them in audio form by emailing you mp3s or using a call-in line. You're welcome. Love, Bucho

Unfortunately there will be gargantuan queues at the Pearly Gates which will make waiting at the DMV seem like a ride with the Blue Angels.

Fortunately, as a racist and ancientist, I'm comfortable declaring that the Mayans were imbeciles at math and the supposed forthcoming apocalypse has been forecast at least 3 months early.

Oh yeah, cool, you're from that Fredericton. I got to know him from being a long time KATG listener and always loved his fearless openness and warped sense of humour.

Best of 2012: Who You Got?

I can't remember exactly which ones I ticked because it was laaaaaaaaaaaaaate at night but I'm pretty sure I selected TIME BOBBY first and then just went down the line ticking every ep with either Schwartz or Mantzoukas until I ran out of ticks.

Episode 189 — The Pancake Man

I loved PFT's little, halfway-off-mic "you son of a bitch" when Scott was hammering Werner for not being accurate during the opening questions of WTR. I also always love whenever Scott says something faux-profound and says "Do you know what I mean?". And his one-line return to bashing Obamacare. And everything else that came out of his mouth this episode.

I've never role-played either but for we Posehn-heads this podcast is like a dream come true. Nay ... not like a dream come true ... an actual dream come true. I had just listened to the episode of Harmontown where they start (and slog through) a DnD adventure and it had filled my soul with doubt and torment that DnD could be entertaining to listen to in podcast form but this group of Brian's is brilliant. Lol. Better hope Blackie stumbles into a time machine so he can follow your advice Thegardnerd. If that even is your real name. Or better yet, come to your senses because Blaine is tremendous to the max.
