  1. My memory, plus statistics (also known as Box Office Mojo), absolutely confirm what Howard says. A quick rip through the month of February, 1982, shows a total of five movies were released in that month. In the first two weeks of February, 2012, there were seven movies that opened in over 1,000 theaters. No doubt there are way more movies opening wide every week now than there were 20 years ago. Score one for the Wie-Wie!

  2. Okay. Whew! I thought there had been a big fight between EW and FOD and then FOD called EW a stupid bitch and then EW said, "F You! You don't call me a bitch! I'm taking these sweet, sweet videos to YouTube. YouTube knows how to treat a lady!"

  3. So, this was pretty much the best podcasting week ever, right? Start with Pardo on WC? last Wednesday. On Friday, let's have the newest Earwolf team, Elizabeth and Psychic Andy, on Doug Loves Movies. Then, please enjoy some Halloween shenanigans on Comedy Fang Fang on Monday. Also on Monday, tune in to Jordan, Jesse, Go! to hear bonus KuKu. Finally, today, welcome Mr. Doug Benson to Whooooo Charted?

  4. Thank God! Since the Earwolf Challenge ended, there's been very little opportunity to give Besser an internet beatdown!

Matt, for future reference when you reunite with your quint siblings to guest host a sports podcast, the blackout rule applies to every team in the NFL. There's actually an official rule of what constitutes a given team's "home" broadcast area, and if a game doesn't sell out, the game is blacked out on stations in the "home" broadcast area.

Boom! Sports broadcasting knowledge dropped, Besser!

  5. I've criticized TL numerous times over the course of this challenge, so I feel like I'm completely secure in saying that the better podcast won. Based solely on this submission, I enjoyed TL a lot more. Jeff said in his notes that he tuned out on LDDC a couple of times, and I did as well. Over the course of the challenge, there were a couple of LDDC submissions that really killed it and stood out (like last week, when I personally probably would have voted TL out instead of LHR), but TL has been more consistently enjoyable for me.

I guess the best way to put it would be to say that TL had a couple of bad weeks, LDDC had a couple of great weeks, but overall I just graded TL higher.

Overall, I really loved the Challenge. Loved Besser. Found a couple of new podcasts to listen to. Even enjoyed the controversies, as long as people weren't being dicks about it.
