    Clue

Yeah, maybe I haven't seen it in a little while but I think Clue is a legitimately good, funny movie. I agree with King of the Wicker People.

  3. I thought the judges were a bit harsh on the F+, thouugh I do agree that they should make clear where the things they are reading come from. However, I don't get all these people (judges included) who are saying it would be funnier if the F+ guys just let the guest talk, rather than interrupting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that the whole point of the bit? And it was a bit. Also, I'm sure the Little Dum Dum Club would be flattered to hear that Swirly Bear thinks they are already very famous in Australia but that's not really the case, unless you're using a very broad definition of famous. I think they would definitely benefit from more exposure. Remember, LDDC has only been going for less than a year.
  4. I agree that two minutes is too short also. I actually think the judges (or at least Matt Besser) need to be listening to full episodes, especially as the competition narrows. I was concerned to hear Matt say on a previous episode that he doesn't listen to podcasts very often and I hope that doesn't affect the judging, as podcasts are a unique form and not as comparable to radio as is sometimes assumed.

    Suggestions

This might be a bit difficult to do in these early rounds, but eventually I think Matt and the guest judges might benefit from listening to full episodes of the pocasts. This would mean they could judge the shows in a better context and inform their decisions better. Maybe that's not the point of the Earwolf Challenge and it should be up to the podcasts themselves to have good 'song choices' but it does seem like the format favours certain kinds of shows and not others. To me, the big difference between a podcast and a radio show is that a podcast doesn't demand that things be in tiny, easy-to-digest segments and has the time and space to flesh thing out and have lengthly conversations etc. That said, I got turned on to the Earwolf Challenge via Little Dum Dum Club, who seem to be one of the favourites, and I'm hoping they win the whole thing.
