    Episode 104 — A Hotel Tell

Thanks for sharing that Larry King doc guys. That is the first I've heard about it. I live in Orange County so I am even more outraged that this was not talked about more. I had to stop listening for awhile, cry, and process what I had heard. There is tragedy every day in this world but having that kind of response to a hate crime in the context of that story was previously unfathomable to me. I had to redefine what I thought about present day attitudes, about places like Orange County, about homophobia, religion, all of it. I hope there is healing in the laughter you try to create in light of stories like that. I just feel pain currently.

Episode 251 — The Bed Spoiler

Happy Broctober! And Ovoctober? Amber Tamblyn is a comedic powerhouse, especially for a first time guest. She didn't just keep up with two veterans, she even one upped them several times. I'm losing my ability to qualify CBB. It's just consistently amazing. Good luck making that best of year list.

I was JUST thinking it had been too long since Todd Glass came around. I think it was the new intern and remembering that wonderful episode with Todd and Wompler.

Episode 151 — Redeemed or Unredeemed, Hashtag!

Paused at 10:00. I think it is fair to say that already, this might be the funniest WC of all time. Math rock, listener assignments, hash tags, and the grammar, oh the grammar. PFT makes life better.

    Episode 250 — Podcast Silence

In a related story, I just watched Pete's Monday Conan appearance promoting the TV show. He was constantly trying to hold back his laughter. So, there's that.

    Episode 250 — Podcast Silence

^ No better summation of Pete Holmes' less than finer qualities than that. As for the show itself, I want to add that it points out how great Scott and the other guests are at making an interaction work. It's not fair to call CBB an improv scene, longform, or even an interview show. I think of it as an independently defined format that combines elements from those. This truly is my favorite podcast. When I am busy, I still listen to this show as soon as I can, no matter what. Most others fall by the wayside as I have less free time. But if you listen to this episode, you can feel everyone but Pete work themselves into the zone created by their various characters and roles. It's almost a physical thing just listening to it. But with Pete in the room, he seems to sense that everyone else is working for the group and is either incapable of joining in due to his limitations, or is too selfish to allow it. He proceeds to force the group to work around him, and I think the listener can sense the change as it goes back and forth. What makes Scott, Gabrus, and Murphy real pros is that they are able to accommodate that and find a way to keep things on track. Pete's personality seems to hinder collaboration, but good performers can make it just barely noticeable.

    Episode 250 — Podcast Silence

Just finished listening. Great episode all around. I love that little moment where Scott mentions being known as Scottrick with just a little lilt in his voice, perhaps having a sentimental memory of a certain PFT.

    Episode 250 — Podcast Silence

So, Pete Holmes had to get his own TV show to come on the bing bong. I'm either going to be put off tremendously by Pete's horrendous laugh, or overjoyed by his charm, wit, and humor in spite of it.

    Episode 126 — The Universe

A noticeably low key (could be the seasons changing?) but funny and thought provoking episode. The guest did an amazing job explaining things simply and elegantly without being condescending.

lol I hadn't even though about that. "Oh man I'm crushed, our friend died." "Ya, so... About his gear..."

    Episode 44 — Limp Butt

The best and probably most pertinent point that had been made about this week's episode is that Gerry was gone. No Gerry, no major progress. Funny how a naked shaman reincarnated as an amputee paladin becomes so crucial to the story's progression.

    Episode 44 — Limp Butt

I was tempted to quote and repost such a long rant, but thought it would be innapropriate. Glad someone beat me to it. First off, way to out nerd a show called nerd poker. I think most of those points are totally valid and I do think the show has taken a turn. Not especially for the better or worse, it's just changing a bit. I think maybe the campaign is winding down and with all the left turns the team keeps making, Sark is probly stalling just so he can come up with a decent scenario. I just think if you are frustrated you should consider the difference between playing D&D and making a show where you play D&D. You can't help approaching it at least a little differently. If it were me, I would be torn between making a good show and having a good game; hoping to do both at the same time but forced to lean one way or the other at various points. Personally, the last few episodes, as much as I try I have been tuning out the game itself and picking up mostly banter. I'm not sure why, but it was certainly the reverse early on. Whatever is going on in the actual game is starting to become boring and hard to follow. No, that's not it. I'm not sure how to put it. It's just like, listening to someone tell you an unformed idea. It's just hard to process I guess, so I find myself easily distracted. I'm just trying to say that recently, the banter has gotten more of my attention than the game.

Episode UCB3 — Bonus: Ask The UCB 3

I thought Mohr was great, but I understand the complaints. He seems to enjoy being the center of attention a little too much. But that was CBB, not I4H. If Besser was upset because Scott's show wasn't exactly the same format as his show, that's just not fair. I could sense Matt's frustration over Jay not following his lead more, but I think for a CBB episode, Mohr did pretty much exactly what most guests do. It was fun, funny, and memorable. What more can you ask from CBB?

Episode UCB3 — Bonus: Ask The UCB 3

You know what you're right. Sorry, I mistook the episode of CBB with Besser and Agee for an I4H.

Episode UCB3 — Bonus: Ask The UCB 3

I'm curious as to how Matt Besser thinks Adam Carolla would do on I4H. Given his comments about short form versus long form, the way he approaches improv, and his perspective on being selfish versus working with the group; I suspect he might not want him on the show. I think though that the perception about Carolla would be that he would be selfish in an improv situation, but in listening to his podcast, I think he is very giving and would make for a good guest. Carolla trained with The Groundlings as did Steve Agee, who has been on the show. I imagine there have been other Groundlings people too. Besser mentioned certain schools he likes and dislikes, but I don't know if The Groundlings came up. Thoughts?

    Episode 165 — He's A Lesbian

I agree with what T.O. said, or rather, there is no way to agree or disagree because of established fact. There are two very strong pieces of evidence which convincingly prove that homosexuality is not hard wired. The human genome project was completed over a decade ago and it found no single gene which is specifically associated with or defines sexual orientation. Secondly, and probably the more convincing piece of evidence, is the result of twin studies. If two people are identical twins, they have the exact same genetic code (obviously). There exist twins who one of which is gay and the other is not. If there were any gene which predetermined homosexuality, both twins would have to be gay or straight. That being said, Francis S. Collins, who conducted some of these twin studies and was head of the human genome project, does find that there seem to be genetic factors which may influence homosexuality, but there is no on off switch for being gay or straight. On the topic he said, "sexual orientation is genetically influenced but not hardwired by DNA, and that whatever genes are involved represent predispositions, not predeterminations." As for my personal opinion, I do not think homosexuality is wrong or perverted in any way. I do not think it is a choice, nor do I think the root of homosexuality is even important. People have the right to live how they please, their sexual preferences are their own business, but I dislike when people claim false facts or deny science. It is hypocritical when those same people look to science to defend other perspectives they have.

Episode 146 — Keep It Clean

"I say don't bring foods that people don't expect into places where they're not gonna expect them." Howard Kremer truly is the John Madden of comedy.

Episode 244 — An Ode To New York!

I gotta say, after a slew of unbelievable episodes that seem to be obvious candidates for the 'best of' list, I think this is a return to form. Not bad, but not the best.
