    Episode 42 — Quadruple Mix-in

I actually giggled with joy when I saw the lineup. And man, it did not disappoint. Just completely off-the-rails stuff, and the chemistry between Jason, Jessica and Lennon is unparalleled. Lennon was already one of my top five favorite guests on the show, but she might have shot to number one after this. We MUST have this lineup again!
  2. So Paul mentioned he'd love to do this (paraphrasing) on today's minisode, but he wants us fans to make the categories. Let's get thinking, shall we? Obviously we need a "Worst Movie" one, and Worst Actor, Actress, etc. That goes without saying. Here's some other ideas: Literally the Worst Sports Scene (this one was mentioned on the podcast) Literally the Worst Use of CGI (I nominate "Godzilla" and "The Creepy Joker Smiles in Old Dogs) Literally the Most Insane Screenplay (good-insane) Literally the Most Convoluted Screenplay (bad-insane. Read: Pluto Nash). You get it. They say "literally" a lot. Anyway... Best Scene in a Bad Movie (A scene in a terrible movie that's actually well-executed, like the explosion in Absuction) Most Insane Bathroom Scene (Think about it. There's a lot. Leprechaun in the Hood, Old Dogs, All About Steve...I could go on) Anyway, any other ideas?

    Episode 169 — Immortal Mustache

Jay was kind of a non-presence, but Cake Boss had me in tears. If it was, indeed, his last appearance, it was perhaps his all-time funniest. That gives Paul F. three of the best character appearances of the year in Werner (season premiere), Andrew Lloyd (Fourvel!) and Cake Boss (cake boss!).

    Episode 37 — Calm Down!

I'm totally obsessed with Danielle as well (in a healthy way...?). After this episode I think she might be my favorite recurring guest.

    Episode 37 — Calm Down!

Front to back, this might be the best episode of i4h ever. "I'm worried I'm gonna grab a kid while I'm out there!" Definitely loving the new jumping off points, especially the YouTube videos. That's an untapped goldmine.
  6. Oh yes. Absolutely. I also MUST recommend the Breakfast Speed-Dating sketch. I literally almost died while listening to that, because I listened to it in the car and was laughing so hard that I couldn't see the road.

    Episode 168 — Breaking Bread

The Pope was stone cold genius. As always, I'm amazed at Besser's ability to tap into touchy subjects while somehow never managing to be offensive. I love that his character wasn't bashing people that believe in God, but rather the disgusting hypocrisy of the catholic church. This episode might have sealed him as my current favorite comedian Oh, and Rooms: The Musical. Holy crap that was hilarious.

    Episode 167 — New No-Nos

I thought Jerrod was an awesome first-time guest. Not all the first timers really "get" this show, but this guy jumped in and was more than willing to participate. I'd love to see him back. Is it safe to call this one another all-time great? Marissa Wompler and Paul Rust were truly in rare form.

    That would be amazing!

    Episode 35 — I Fixed It!

One of the best episodes the show has ever done. Lennon is becoming one of my favorite guests. I'm drooling thinking of an episode with her, Andy Daly, Horacio and Connroy.

    Episode 40.5 — Minisode 40.5

I want it to be known, for the record, that I was the one that came up with the name "The Literallies." Look up the forum, people! I'm prideful!

    Episode 165 — Hoo-ah!

No good? I mean, listen. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But your opinion is objectively and factually wrong and stupid and I hate it.

    Episode 166 — Farts and Procreation 2

I literally almost died yesterday because I was laughing so hard while listening to this in my car that I couldn't see the road. This was a moving, panoramic account of Jews in America. And then some!

    Episode 40.5 — Minisode 40.5

Spider-Man 3 is like, bizarrely bad. So many great actors, a great director, some genuinely great action sequences. But man! What a disaster. I remember my horror as I watched the "Emo Peter Parker dancing down the street" scene at the midnight premiere. I distinctly remember audibly saying, "It's a dream sequence, right? This HAS to be a dream. It HAS to be! Wait, he's dancing AGAIN? And wha--he just slapped MJ in the face?? WAKE UP PETER PARKER!!!!" Bad. So incredibly bad. Which is why I'm so surprised at the somewhat "meh" reaction of The Amazing Spider-Man from critics. It has a 75% on RT, and I feel like, while not a masterpiece, the movie is really darn fun, has great performances, great set-pieces, and it gets the franchise back on stable ground after the debacle of S3. Seriously. There's no way they could do another Spidey without rebooting it after S3. Hey guys...why is Topher Grace in this movie, and why does his venom suit keep showing me his face instead of venom's?

    The First Annual HDTGM Awards

I think what we first need to do is finalize these categories. There's some real gems in this thread. I motion that we give everybody a couple days to get in final nomination ideas, close this thread, and then start a new thread where everyone votes for what they feel the best categories are (maybe a total of 10?). The way I've seen this done in various message boards is that everyone starts with 40 points (as an example), and you can assign as many points to each category as you want. (So if you really like "The Nicolas Cage Lifetime Achievement Award" category, you could give it 25 points). Then you assign your points around amongst your top 10 nominees. Then after a given time we'd count up the points, and whichever 10 have the most would be our categories. Anyone want to second this idea?

    Episode 40 — Judge Dredd

June is getting crazier and crazier with her theories every week. And I'm fine with that

Episode 164 — Clifton Was Here

I was thinking this as well. My first exposure to CBB was the interview with Patton Oswalt and Don DiMello, and it perfectly encompassed what the show was. I feel like if I had started out with any of the past few episodes, I would not have been sold on the show. All of them are fun enough, but none of them really captures the essence of what CBB is.

    Episode 165 — Hoo-ah!

Andy was great. I'll always root for the guy who defends those of us who believe in a higher power, but he was hysterical anyway. Also loved Amy's Paltrow impression--in fact, my one problem with the episode is that I felt like she didn't get enough time to flesh out the character. I'd really like to hear her back for a more long-form interview.

    Bad Summer Movies!

Yeah he and Paul are buddies. Is he in Click, though? It must be a small part, I can't remember him being in it at all.

    The First Annual HDTGM Awards

I like this idea. I would almost want to broaden it to something like "Most Inexplicable Use of a Computer," that way we could include the crazy Speed 2 computer and all the insane computer stuff in Abduction. Or the 8-Bit Fish from Godzilla

    The First Annual HDTGM Awards

To be fair the award show wasn't my idea, but I couldn't believe the thread hadn't been made. I do think we should decide on a name for these awards. I like the "Literallies," I like the "Howdies," any other ideas? I'm blanking.

    The First Annual HDTGM Awards

I feel like the scene with the alien parents walking into the supermarket in Mac and Me is my biggest WTF moment. Honestly nightmare-inducing scene. And it's a kids' movie! Most Unintentionally Incompetent Male Character (Willem DaFoe, Speed 2, for instance) Most Unintentionally Incompetent Female Character (Saundra Bullock, for either All About Steve or Speed 2) Best Villain (I've gotta say Sharon Stone for Catwoman) Worst Villain (It's gotta be Eddie Murphy right?) Worst "Best Friend" Character Most Inexplicable Side Character (a character whose presense in the movie just makes no sense. Like the Psychologist from The Room, or the forest hippie from Birdemic) Best Main-Character-Versus Himself-Faceoff (Superman vs. Clark Kent against Eddie Murphie vs. Eddie Murphy in Pluto Nash)

    SEGMENTS

Probably has already been suggested, but it's always hilarious when the gang reenacts a scene from the movie they're talking about. So I think it should become a regular feature. Pick the worst section of dialogue in the movie and reenact it.

    Episode 31 — Cyborgs

Eric the Paid Intern show! Matt. If this is a joke, it's not funny. Great ideas like this deserve to come to fruition.

You were a great sport, man. So glad you agreed to do it! You helped spawn some classic i4h scenes!
