Can't stop listening to this episode. Usually, even with my favorite episodes, I'll fast forward through the conversations just to get to the scenes (since I know the inspiration for the scenes once I've heard it once or twice). This one though is all gold. I'm now obsessed with Bazan's music thanks to this episode, and the juxtaposition of his wonderfully dark acoustic songs with these insane scenes is just amazing.

The Atlantis sketch may be the greatest comedy sketch I've ever experienced.
Also, this David Bazan guy was fantastic. Every song he did was brilliant! Definitely going to be sifting through his catalogue.

AHH! President of the National fan club right here. This ep is a dream come true. Love how game Matt was.

This show is on another ridiculously great roll.

You know how people say don't quit your day job? Well I had to get a day job.

MATT: You can't not feed Rooney. A sniper will take you out.
SCOTT: Yes, exactly. Yeah, you constantly have a laser dot on your head.
GINO: Offensive.
Such an amazing moment that was almost completely trampled over.

As a huge Conan fan, I do feel obligated to mention that he does literally the exact same Name That Tune bit on his show.

That being said: How many Eskimos does it take to murder a TV dinner is totally original.

I think it needs to happen. Everyone involved in the show seemed slightly disappointed by F&P3, but I thought it was the best one yet. And since my opinion is the best one, they should definitely listen to me and not trust their gut.

That photo of DC made me unspeakably sad. He looks like he needs a good bussin' up.

Im pretty sure I remember recently listining to the best of for that year and ep 98 obviously made the list and got nothing but praise from Scott and PFT.
It didn't make the list but they played the A Worthy Uhh bonus clip and they praised it quite a bit.

THANK YOU. That Sidney Bristow was trying to make me sound like a real douche.

Jessica St. Clair RTed this about 6 months ago from artist Gregg Schigiel (@StuffSaidShow). Thankfully it doesn't show her nipple pubes.

What's this about the original Sheriff's appearance being a "bit gone bad" etc.? As many have already stated, it's an episode worthy uh..., surely among my all time favs, have listened to it so many times! Anyone has a link to the mention quoted above or Scott/James talking about how it went "wrong"?
Β
As far as I'm concerned that original episode was Earwolf's gold.
Exactly! That's a top 10 episode of all time for me.

The whining and pleading on the Analyze Phish forum was amusing and at times irritating, but I feel like U2 just doesn't have that kind of fan base. Not that they don't have passionate listeners (as evidenced by this very podcast) but Phish is more of a lifestyle choice than anything else. That's why their followers feel the need to defend the music, it's an intrinsic part of their person.
Β
True, but I don't want whining--I just want to talk about U2 with my Earwolf bros

Yeah, episode 98 is a classic, one of the episodes I come back to the most. I hear it's quite maligned though. Didn't Scott do one of those How The Bread Gets Made things about it, with a somewhat negative tone?

So according to Scott there is no part 2 in the immediate future. I assumed they recorded it all in one sitting and split it up after the fact. Oh well.
